01 September 2007 ................. Saturday Happy Birthday DARREN Happy Birthday SHARI Marilee leaves for work this morning. Early this morning, I started sending out my "It's September" e-mails to the Stakes in the Southwest Area. It is now 6pm and I have now sent out "It's September" to all the Stakes with Exception Numbers, 10 and 21 and 39, the three(3) highest Priority of Exceptions. I called and wished Darren a Happy Birthday. He said that Tim was there. So we will see them tomorrow for Taco Sunday. I called and wished Shari a Happy Birthday, but I had to leave a message, so I sang Happy Birthday to her. Tim called and we talked for awhile. Amy is getting her Patriarchal Blessing, from Sue's Dad, tomorrow.

02 September 2007 ................... Sunday Taco Sunday I attended Church at Randolf because it was Arizona City Ward's turn and Bishop Cozart asked Marilee and I to be there. Marilee could not go with me because she plays the Organ for the Arizona City Ward Sacrament Meeting. Seems she also played for Relief Society because that person was at Randolf. At Randolf we had a meeting where we learned about what we were going to do and that meeting was concuceted by Carl Shelton. Then we broke up into groups and they put me into Belinda's group. We know each other from NCN and from Square Dancing, over 20 years ago. NCN is where Shari and Butch met and Belinda asked about them. Belinda has two brothers and a sister that are residents at Randolf. I was assigned along with to other Brethren, from Maricopa, to assist Nora. We wheeled her from her housing unit, over to the Rec. Hall. All in all there was about 50 to 100 Randolf Residents and about 200 church members from different wards in the Casa Grande Stake. We were each assigned to a person with special needs and we sang songs. Lots and lots of songs. It was a "heart touching" experience for all. Nora liked my singing as did the lady in the next wheel chair. I was happy to give someone a moments pleasure. After we had taken the residents back to their housing units, we came back to the Rec. Hall for our Arizona City Ward Sacrament Meeting with our Bishopric conducting and our aaronic priesthood handling the Sacrament service. They had to use Soda Crackers for the Bread. We got done a little before 12Noon so I came home and took a brief nap till Marilee got here. We visited and rested and then took Melissa/Brad/Jack with us to Taco Sunday. It was a wonderful Taco Sunday. Hank/Family were missing but Murr was there and Tim/Family were there. We had a pleasant ride home, in the Malibu, backing in the Glow of Taco Sunday. Brad stayed in Casa Grande so he could do a job of work today. I did a lot of Area Auditor work but I never did get to the reports I must send to SLC!! Got some of the grass cut and I did move Orion to taller grass.

03 August 2007 ................ Friday Melissa and Bradley are married, today, by Bishop Cozart, in the Casa Grande Stake Center. I do some Area Auditor work, in the morning, and I cut down some weeds along the pasture fenceline. About Noon, Marilee and I go to the Casa Grande Stake Center, which is also our Ward Building for the Arizona City Ward. Connie and Charity Grover meet us there and help us decorate the building for Melissa and Brad's Wedding this evening. Connie Grover, among other things, ironed all the table clothes and put them on all the tables that she help us set up for the Wedding Reception. WOW -- Thank you Connie and Charity!! Marilee spends the day working on the Wedding Cake, decorating it in a beautiful way better than I have ever seen. It was delicious in addition to being beautiful. At about 6pm Melissa and Brad were married by Bishop Duane Cozart, our bishop in the Arizona City Ward. Lot of people there.......on Melissa's side of the family were, Marilee, Hank, Michelle, Levi, Priscilla, Bridgette, Jon, Gaia, Brent, Sara, David, Rachel, Wendell Jr., Laree/Keith and gang, Kevin/Ginny and gang, Alan/??? and gang, Karl/??? and gang. It was wonderful the way so many of Marilee's siblings stayed and helped us clean up afterwards. WOW -- made a short job of it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

04 September 2007 .................. Tuesday/b> Marilee goes to work. 04 September 2007 ………………… Tuesday I drove to "Jim Sebbens at Grand Canyon Pump & Supply @ 2747 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix Arizona, 85009, 602-272-7867, 800-526-7608, 603-300-7147, 603-233-9225[FAX], jim@grandcanyonpump.com" Where I picked up our new 3ph down hole pump and motor. Jim said the first one that came in had been damaged by UPS so he sent it back. That is why it took so long Debbie suggested that putting a restrictor into the output of the down hole pump may slow the output down to what the well produces. Then the air sucking will stop because the water level will never get down to the downhole pump intake port. In the evening I drive to the Mesa Arizona Kimball Stake for their Audit Committee Meeting. It was a good meeting and I think I helped. [smile]

05 September 2007 .................. Wednesday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert Medical Center today. I work on Area Auditor stuff and on the Well. 05 September …………………………… Wednesday I put a pressure gage into the downhole pump 1 ¼ Inch Pipe. I put a valve into the downhole pump 1 ¼ Inch Pipe so it can be partially closed causing the downhole pump to pump against pressure. The reason for that is so the downhole pump will not pump the water level down enough to start sucking air. I closed the valve enough to cause a pressure of 35 psi. In the past the least pressure that the downhole pump ever pumped against was 40 psi because the regulator has always been set to pump on at 40 psi to pump off at 60 psi. I will need to do testing, in the days to come, to determine if 35 psi is the correct setting. I adjusted the Storage Tank Float to increase the amount of water the downhole pump will pump each time it comes on. Between adjusting the float and increasing the pressure to 35 psi I have decreased the downhole pump starts by about a hundred to one, maybe more. That should greatly increase the life of the pump.

06 September 2007 ........................ Thursday Happy Birthday MELISSA

07 September 2007 ...................... Friday I try and fail to do a proper and complete Stewardship Report. I have to give it up and send an abbrievated one until I can get the job done right. Marilee and I go to Office Max and I succeed in FAXing the Stewardship Report but the Expense Report will not go???? We then went to Wal*Mart to get a Tracfone but they did not have one. Marilee and I attend the Wedding Reception of Carl and Megan Smith at the Mesa 2nd Ward Building. Lot of good visiting there and I am glad we went. . We went to Wal*Mart, in Mesa, to get a Tracfone but they did not have one.

08 September 2007 .......................... Saturday I take Melissa, Brad, Jack to the home of Jerry Storey in Casa Grande. I try again to send the FAX to the Audit Department but it won't go!! I go to Wal*Mart and get a Tracfone. Marilee at work today. At 6pm I go to the Ward BBQ at Bishop Cozart's house. It was great and there were lots of people there. I ate two hamburgers, with no bun.

09 September 2007 .................. Sunday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert. I go to Arizona City Ward Meetings. Tom and Debbie and Myriah talk in Sacrament Meeting. It was great!! I became aquainted with Brother Gearld Martin who lives in Nauvoo, Ill and is here temporily working as a security guard for the new Daisy Sour Cream Plant going into Casa Grande. Right After the Block I did my home teaching with the Lamoreaux Family right there at the church because they are taking off for Gilbert and a birthday party. Marilee came home from work early because she is feeling ill.

10 September 2007 ................. Monday I went to Dr. Ganem's Office and Carol did a heart echo on me. General Petraas gave his report to Congress today and it is clear that the surge helped, so much that he can start sending some troops home, very soon. The Democrats are beside themselves because anything that is good for America is bad for them. I worked on Area Auditor but just don't have enough time to do it any good. I worked on moving Orion but did a bad job of it because I don't have enough time or money to do it right. We learned that the IRS has filed a lean on our real estate because we defaulted on our contract with them. So No I have to stop everything else that I don't have time to do anyhow and simple work on and/or with the IRS until we can reach some kind of settlement.

Tuesday 911 Now here it is 11 September 2007 and the Democrats/Liberals want to quit/give up in Iraq, assuring us that we will have a LOT of 911's How is it possible for a party and/or people to be so ignorant and irresponsible? 12 September 2007 ......................... Wednesday We awake at 3am and I take Marilee to Sky Harbor for her flight to North Carolina and a vist with Ann and Sofia. I am reading a book by C.S.Lewis. I am doing it simply because he seems to be the most quoted non-mormon author and because Sister Mitchell gave me the book. WOW what a writer. Not my favorite style of writing, but, sure stretches my mind. [ouch] I finish up going through all the stakes and sending out notices that are due at this time. Also, now I have finished the Stewardship Report for August and I will send it to SLC soon. I visit Sister Haines at the Pavilion and she is doing fine. I remove a saying, about Oliver North, from wendelleyring.com, because Levi informs me that it is not true. I will never knowingly post lies on www.wendelleyring.com. Heck, I get into enough trouble when I post the TRUTH! [grin] At about 10am, Melissa, Brad, Jack take the Malibu to town. They are not yet home when I go to bed at 9pm. I visit with Sister Haines in the Care Center where she is now. We have a nice long visit till they bring her supper, then I leave.

13 September 2007 .......................... Thursday Marilee is not here today. She is in North Carolina visiting with Ann and Sofia. It must be a wonderful experience for all three of them. [big smile] Melissa, Brad, Jack are here. I start off by getting something to eat then work on Area Auditor Stuff!!! Melissa tells me of a flat tire on the Malibu RR. 13 September 2007 - Thursday @ 09:50amMST ----------------------------------------- Dearest Marilee, Just a note of interest in light of some of our conversations of late: In the last 24 hours: 1) Indonesia has suffered three(3) major earthquakes 8.4 7.9 6.8 All seperate earthquakes, each generating tsunamis 2) Hurricane Humberto snuck up on Texas and Louisanna. It is the first time in recorded history that a Tropical Storm suddenly grew to a Hurricane as it approached land. My comment: "We ain't seen nuthin YET" Your loving Husband, Wendell ============================================== PS It is not George Bush's fault, regardless what the Liberal Left is saying! I knock on David Pearson's Door, because his red pickup is there, but, no answer. I wanted to tell him I got the new downhole pump and that Scott is going to come and lower our downhole pump 20 feet back down into the hole. I visited with Sister Haines in the Subacute Care Center. She was just eating lunch and it was just a short visit.

14 September 2007 ......................... Friday Melissa, Brad, Jack take the Malibu to town. I go Saddle Orion and tie him to the fence in preparation for the Mitchell girls coming to ride. About 10am Sister Mitchell comes with Naomi and Myrissa and Seth. After some cold Water and some conversation, I take Naomi/Myrissa over to visit with and pet Scarlett. Then we go out a ride Orion. I just having them change riders and Orion walking around me in his pen till the girls get tired in fact Naomi does more than get tired, she gets sick and has to go back to the house and cool off. It IS hot today!!! I gave Sister Mitchell some scrap wood to use in her yard/garden that she is working on.

15 September 2007 ............... Saturday On the way to Mesa I received a phone call from Marilee, in North Carolina, telling me that Rebecca is going to the Temple at 11am. 8am I met with Wendy, Bubba, Darren, Julie, Courtney, Hank, Michelle, Emily, Jessica, Lindsay, Luke at Village Inn in Mesa and we had a wonderful Breakfast together. I learned that Bubba's Mother is in hospital and an injury to her head. I went to the Gilbert Ward Building Reunion. It was quite an experience to see people I have not seen for a very very long time. I then went to the wedding of Dee Wilson and Rex Cline in the Casa Grande Stake Center. Sister Grover and I were the only ones from the Arizona City Ward and I am so glad I was there. Next I went to the Arizona City Ward Temple day at the Arizona Temple. I did not see anyone from the Arizona City Ward there. I had a nice visit with Dad and Twila. On the way back to Paradise I stopped at Safeway for Gasoline and a few groceries. Then to Paradise and a nice visit with Melissa/Brad/Jack.

16 September 2007 ..................... Sunday Marilee is still in North Carolina with Ann/Sofia. Melissa, Brad, Jack, Myself are here this morning. I attend the Arizona City Ward Meetings. Sam and Molly and Cody Lara are the speakers in Sacrament Meeting and I am so glad I did not miss that. Sunday School with Sister Roamer was wonderful and I am glad I did not miss that!! High Priest's Group Meeting, Lesson 18, with Brother Flores was wonderful and I am glad I did not miss that! Next I visited Sister Haines in the Pavilion SubAcute treatment center along with Sister Stauffer and Brother/Sister Colfer. I then went to visit Brother Nichols but he was not home so I left a card. After that I had a wonderful Home teaching visit with Sister Lara and Angela, Cody, Katie.We read Titus and Philemon. I am glad I did not miss that. I tried to visit Sister Proctor at TA and at her home, but not there so I left Cards. I finished off by visiting Sister Anguiano along with Martin Jr. and Usevia and Ramon. It was a nice visit, in the yard, and she says she is going to start coming to church. I came home, visited a bit with Meliss/Brad, ate a bit did some Area Auditor Work and went to bed.

17 September 2007 ....................... Monday Constitution Day Read the Constitution today Marilee is still in North Carolina with Ann/Sofia. Melissa/Brad/Jack/Myself are here in Paradise. I am washing Clothes Washing Dishes Paying Bills Hauling out the trash cleaning up the yard Catching up on lots of things. Then I start on the Silverado Parking Brake. I had not worked for a couple of years and I have finally accumulated enough parts to get it working. Also I have the Malibu here today in case I have to run to town for parts!! Then Melissa informs me that they have to go to Florence! by then I have the Silverado up on blocks and torn apart. I simply say that I cannot part with the Malibu so I will take them to town. They arrange to use Brad's Granpa's Pickup so I take them to Brad's Granpa's place on Morrison. I get a few things that I need while in town, then back to Paradise and work on the Silverado. There are several hangups but I succeed in removing the broken bolt from the RR Parking Brake and I almost get done but I have to give it up at sundown and go to bed.

18 September 2007 .................. Tuesday Happy Birthday to Bradley Alexander Storey Marilee is still in North Carolina but we get her back tomorrow......Hooray!![big smile] First thing this morning I get to work on the Silverado. I succeeded in getting all new brakes on the Rear, including new Rotors/Drums, Pads, Shoes. Now the Parking brake works again. I filled the rear axle with fresh oil. There was over 200,000 miles on that oil and it had a lot of metal in it, gathered up on the magnet provided in there for that purpose. When I had the right axle shaft out, so I could remove the broken bolt from the Parking Brake, I notice that the wheel bearing surface, of the shaft was beginning to fail. That is bad but a new axle shaft is too much money, [frown] so it will last for a lot longer!!! I changed the Engine Oil and Filter. While testing the new brakes, that worked just fine, I stopped to visit with David Pearson. We talked about a lot of things, especially the well and that Scott is going to come and put the pump back down where it belongs. He did not tell me much about Nadine but I asked him to tell her that I was asking about her. I drive the Malibu to Wal*Mart where I get another quart of the axle fluid needed for the silverado and I also get Oil/Filter for the Malibu. When I get back to Paradise I finish filling the rear axle of the Silverado and I change the engine oil/filter in the Malibu. I do a lot of work on wendelleyring.com, washing clothes and dishes, Area Auditor. The weather has really cooled off and that is a relief.

19 September 2007 ............................. Wednesday Welcome Home Marilee!! [big smile] I drove the Malibu to Sky Harbor where I gladly received my dear wife, Marilee, as she returned from North Carolina. While there I had a nice visit with Three Missionaries from the Phoenix Mission, President Gil, as they are waiting for a Sister Missionary for the Temple Square Mission that is to serve for 4 months in the Phoenix Mission. They told of serving in the Tuba City Stake and I said that I know President Frankie Gilmore so tell him hello for me. In the evening Marilee fixes a delicious Stew for supper.

20 September 2007 ..................... Thursday Last Day of Summer Marilee went to work at Banner Desert Medical Center. I went to Banner Baywood Medical Center to visit Kenny Willis in Room #338. We had a very nice visit and I am so glad I went. I then e-mailed Jerry Lamb and Jerry Fleming, other Class of '57 members about this visit, because they would want to know. Later I visited Sister Haines, she is back home now. I was able to extend the handle, on her Lazy Boy Chair, so it is easier for her to manuver it from one position to the other. I went by to visit Troy Nichols but he was not there so I left a card. I did catch Sister Procter at home and had a nice short visit with her. I got the dishes washed before Marilee came home from work. We had a nice visit this evening with Marilee, Melissa, Brad, Jack and Myself as we ate some of the delicious Stew that Marilee had made yesterday.

21 September 2007 .................. Friday 1st Day of Fall Marilee's Favorite Season of the Year Marilee takes Brad with her as she leaves for work at about 5amMST I work on Area Auditor, Grass, Garbage, Edger. About 3pm I take Melissa/Jack with me and we go to town to get Brad and I get a few things from CircleK and I fill the Silverado with Gasoline. I meet Jerry Storey and wife, for the first time. Very Nice Folks.

22 September 2007 ................ Saturday Marilee and I go to Flying J for Breakfast, but, they are closed for modifications. We then go to TA but change our mind and drive to IHOP where we enjoy a wonderful breakfast and time together. You might say "A Stolen Moment" [smile]. Marilee and I build a Clothes Folding Table near the Washer/Dryer and we put a Shelf with Clothes hanging rod above it.

23 September 2007 ................. Sunday Happy Birthday to Wendell Haws Eyring Marilee and I attend the Arizona City Ward Meetings at 9am. It was wonderful and I am so glad I did not miss it!! [bib smile] I sat up on the stand so I could be by Marilee as she is playing the Organ. I liked that. The speadker were President Maurice Cavenee and President Rene Cobos. Great speaker and the spoke about Faith and Forgiveness which is what Marilee and I are teaching about in Priestood/RS. Then Sister Roamer taught about that subject again, from Romans, in Sunday School Class. Then Marilee gave the lesson on President Faust's talk, in RS and I gave the same lesson in High Priest's Group. It went well. This was probably the best talk in the Last Conference and it was President Faust's last talk because he has since passed away. Back in Paradise Marilee made a Jello for Dad's birthday party at Darren/Julie's. At about 3:30pm Marilee and Melissa and Jack and I drove to Casa Grande AM/PM where we picked up Brad then we all drove to Darren/Julie's for Dad's Birthday Party. He is 89 Years Old, TODAY, have been born in 1918. There were lots of people there including Nick and Karen. There were 5 of us Children, Wendell Jr., Pat, Nick, April, Twila. I was sorry that Murr was not there??? Darren had Prepared two(2) great videos for us, one about Mom and Dad and all of us, the other about David and Rachel's Wedding. It was a wonderful experience and the we had a great time driving home, in the Silverado, to Paradise.

24 September 2007 .................. Monday Up at 5am because I have a "Fasting" Heart Stress test at Dr. Ganem's at 7:40amMST. After the Heart Stress Test I drove to Banner Baywood Medical Center and had a nice visit with Kenny Willis. I offered to come by, on Friday, and take him to the '57 Class Reunion. He said maybe. He needs to wait and see how his therapy goes, this week, and what the Doctor has to say about it. I drove the Silverado back to Paradise where I helped Marilee install another faucet into our water line, just north of her flower garden. I ate and took a little nap.

25 September 2007 ............................ Tuesday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert Medical Center. I go check out the Well for an explaination of why we had so much Brown Water from the tap yesterday. I fail to find a reason. I had thought that maybe Scott had come and put the Pump back down 20', like he has said he will do, but that had not happened. I do Area Auditor work and a lot of odd jobs. I go visit Sister Haines, Gas up the Silverado, Shirts to Laundry, Food from Safeway. At 12:45pmMST I am at Dr. Ganem's, East Valley Cardiology. They inject some kind of nuclear stuff into me then tell me to go eat, a lot [smile> I go to Del Taco where I eat three Tacos, one Green Bean Burro, one Double Bacon Cheese Burger and a Root Beer. Then back to East Valley Cardiology where they scan my heart. Home to Paradise and a lotta more haaaad haaad wuk. When Marilee gets home we have a very nice visit. Melissa Brad Jack are not here this evening.

26 September 2007 ....................... Wednesday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert Medical Center. Get hay, at Wuertz, and feed Orion. He liked that!![smile] I work on Area Auditor work and get ready for the Audit Committee Meeting in the Casa Grande Arizona Stake. At 7pm I attend the Casa Grande Arizona Stake Audit Committee Meeting, presided over by President Walton, the Audit Committee Chairman. It is a good meeting and I hope I helped. Marilee, Meilssa, Brad, Jack are here, when I get home, and we have a good visit.

27 September 2007 ................... Thursday I make up document titled "RESOLVED" to help Stakes understand what resolved means and when is an audit exception resolved. Marilee does not go to work today. I go to East Valley Cardiology, again, for more testing. I then go to Banner Baywood Medical Center where I visit with Kenny Willis and I learn that he is not going to accept my invitation to pick him up and take him to the Class of 1957 Reunion tomorrow. He is just not yet ready for that. I call President Walton and offer to do more training in the Florence 1st Ward. He approves that and thanks me for my offer. Marilee and I put up a shelf, over the Washer and Dryer. It looks good and it will be a great benefit for us, in the future. After some lunch and a Nap I work on Area Auditor Stuff.

28 September 2007 .................... Friday Chandler High School, Class of 1957, Reunion at the San Marcos in Chandler I start off the day with some Area Auditor work and with some Office Work. I drive to Casa Grande to put some money into the checking account and a few other chores. Home for lunch and nap. Then to the San Marcos Hotel in Chandler the Class '57 Reunion. It was great. It was good to see some people I have not seen for 50 years. It was sad to see the list of our classmates that have passed on. I told them I had visited with Kenny Willis, just yesterday, and he is doing fine, just not ready to come to this reunion, just yet. After the dinner and meeting we went to the Chandler High School Football game at Austin Field. By half time Chandler was winning 24 to 0 over the Yuma Criminals so I left and drove back here to Paradise and a very nice visit with Marilee Melissa Jack.

29 2007 ................... Saturday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert Medical Center. I go to work on Area Auditor Stuff................and I update wendelleyring.com . Just before Sunset Marilee and I drive as far east, as we can, on Shedd. Next we drive north along a fence. We stop and visit with a mother and son who are looking for their car. they are driving a Blazer and apparently the son was out in the desert, last night, got stuck and walked home.....three hours across the desert. He could only remember some light off to his right and haveing crossed over a paved road. I think he crossed over the CAP Access road which is still several miles east of where we were at the time. When we came back home, Brad was gone and Marilee took Melissa/Jack to the store to get some things.

30 September 2007 ................... Sunday Marilee and I go to Arizona City Ward Meetings, leaving paradise at 8am. Marilee practices the Organ while I do some cramming for my talk in Sacrament Meeting. Talking in Sacrament Meeting are Cody Ogarrd and Sister Romero and Myself. The subject matter is sustaining Church Authorities. Sister Roamer does a great job teaching the Gospel Doctrine Class and I am glad I was there. In the third hour I help teach the Sunbeam, 3 year olds in Primary. Brother Meza was there to help and I am glad he was. It went well and I think the kids got the idea that they should be honest and what honest is. In the evening Marilee and I go over to Colfer's and pick up our order from the Bishop's Storehouse. We drive all the way around the new prisons and verify that they do now have prisoners in them. Marilee fixes one of the best suppers I have ever had. [big smile]
