01 January 2007 ................... Monday

9 January 2007 ........................... Tuesday This evening I went to the Gilbert Arizona Stake Center and did a training session there. It was a pleasure to get to know President Lewis and President Ballard. I already know Warner Gifford. [smile] The training session went well and we really got into the "Other Account". I hope I helped.

11 January 2007 ......................... Thursday This evening I went to the Phoenix Arizona West Maricopa Stake Center and did some training on Audits and the "Other Account". It was a pleasure to get to know President Waldron and President Parsons. I hope I helped. They seem to take in what I said and I sensed a determination to do Audits Better. When I arrived home I received the very bad new that we had no water. It was very cold out, but I went and checked the Well and it is dead!! I called Kris Gurr and told him about it since he has two properties, 1 and 3, on the well and he has a well driller installer here working on #3 at this time. He said he would take care of it.

12 January 2007 ...................... Friday Marilee went to work, I went to Mesquite, Nevada. I started by driving the Silverado to Casa Grande, Arizona to Wal*Mart for food then to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I left the Silverado there and to a Gran Prix to Mesquite. It was a nice trip and I was impressed with how low Lake Mead is and with the ambitious project in progress of building a bridge across the canyon so you will no longer have to drive across Boulder Dam. It snowed on me from Kingman north for about 35 miles. It was never thick enough to stick on the Windshield, but it was thick enough to restrict visiblity to about a mile and some was sticking on the ground beside the road, but not on the road. Then in started snowing when I drove into Mesquite and snowed all evening. Wendy and Joshua made a snowman that was about 3 feet tall. I got to see DC for the first time and we took 4 generation photos with DC and Mattix and Joshua and Wendy and Myself. that was great.

13 January 2007 ............................. Saturday This morning I awoke at Tim's house in Austin's bed in Mesquite, Nevada. I spent the whole day in Mesquite. We were unable to attend the Temple because Tiffany is sick and Wendy is too busy with Bubba's friends in town for the weekend and Tim/Sue have a Garage Sale today! We would have had to drive to Las Vegas because the St. George Temple is closed, at this time. I went over to Wendy's for Breakfast and lots of visiting with Joshua, Laura, Mattix, DC, Wendy, Bubba, Bubba's Friends from Mesa High School. About 3pm Bubba fixed Skones for everybody. I like that [grin]. I went to Tim/Sue's for supper and that was great.

14 January 2007 ............................ Sunday I awoke in Austin's Bed in Mequite. I then went to Tiffany/Keven's for Breakfast. Leaving Tim/Sue's house I fell down on the icy sidewalk. Slam, flat down on my back. I am OK now!! I went to church with Tiffany/Keven and I loved it. I did not get to see President Hafen but I did have a nice visit with President Jensen the Stake President. After church we, Tiffany's family, Wendy's family, Tim's family. We took some photos. At 2pmPST I left for Henderson. I went right to the Henderson Nevada Green Valley Stake Center with the good directions I had received from Prsident Johnston. It was a wonderful experience, getting to know President Asay and President Johnston and all the people in the Green Valley Stake. First there was a very good training session with the Finance Clerk's and Auditors and Stake Presidency that was held in the High Council Room. Then the RS Sisters fed us. [I liked that[smile]] Then President Asay had me sit on the Stand during Stake Priesthood Meeting. There must have been 900 brethren there. I was impressed!! After that I did some training with the Bishoprics that was held in the RS Room. After that I drove to Paradise, with a stop in Casa Grande to return the Gran Prix and get my Silverado.

15 January 2007 ...................... Monday I arrived home, from Henderson, Nevada at about 5am. I was very tired and I was saddened to learn we still do not have any water!! Scott did repair our well today, putting in a new pump, at the bottom of the well. That will cost us a couple thousand dollars!! We agreed to have him, Scott, install a storage tank and pressure pump.

17 January 2007 ......................... Wednesday Happy Birthday T A R A Tara is 13 Years old today -- oh no, another teenager!! Scott got his drilling rig running again today. He had to replace the engine in the rig. I talked to Scott and verified that he has been paid for putting the new pump in our well. I do a LOT of Area Auditor work today. Wayne Leavitt and Kris Gurr came here today because they had a problem with the Eloy Fire District and permits and being annexed into same??

18 January 2007 ....................... Thursday Marilee to work. I get haircut at "Clip Joint". I do some work at Clerk's Office and I get some parts for paradise including Oil/Filter for Silverado but no time to change the oil today. Melissa and I take the S10 back to Sister Haines. I do a lot of Area Auditor work today.

22 January 2007 ..................... Monday It snows, in Paradise, today. You needed a magnifying glass to identify it, here in Paradise, but Wuertz Farm was white when I drove to Casa Grande this morning. Marilee goes to work today. I work on Paradise. I get some electrical parts from Home Depot and I spend most of the day working on our power pole. I succeed in getting one Watertight weatherproof 50A outlet working.

23 January 2007 ........................ Tuesday Scott put the 2500 Gallon Water Storage Tank into the hole in the ground then he hooked the well to it and pumped about 200 gallons of water into it, so it would not float away, if it rained. David Pearson and I had a long discussion about the right way to regulate the water level in the Storage Tank.......

24 January 2007 ......................... Wednesday I put into conduit the wires to the Water Heater. Long overdue!! I expected Scott to come and finish the Water Well System, today, but he never did.

25 January 2007 ................. Thursday Cold and Windy today. Scott still did not come and finish our Well Water System so I put caps on the open lines to our storage tank. I did a lot of important Area Auditor stuff today. I went the viewing, at Meldrum Mortuary, for Myrtle Melba Riggs Lamoreaux. WOW, what a trip down memory lane!! I could go on and on about the people I talked to and the memories that invoked. I had a very nice visit with Jacob and Deanna and Kiera and Jacob's Parents.

26 January 2007 ..................... Friday Marilee gone to work today. I work on Area Auditor Stuff. I go to Melba Lamoreaux funeral in Gilbert. It is in the Chapel that was build on the land the she and Alvin gave to the church, right by their house that is still there. I see Kevin and Jinny there, and a lot of other people that I know or have known. I sit by Barbara Cotter, Henry, ?????? and I have a really nice talk with her. I go to the Burial at the Mesa Cemetary. there was no funeral procession. I go back to the chapel for the dinner put on by the RS. I sit by Mitzi and I tell her that that dog bit me too. Colleen and her daughter Colleen are there and they sing at the gravesight and again at the program after the dinner. Colleen sang in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for many years and now Colleen Jr. sings in the Tabernacle Choir.

27 January 2007 ........................... Saturday Scott's helper Eddie and his helper Gilbert came and hooked up our storage tank to the well system today. So I retrieved my 2" cap and my handkerchief that had been plugging the open holes in our storage tank. I watched Eddie and Gilbert hook up the system and it went well till they went to hook up the electrical. Eddie did not know how to do that and finally gave up and said Scott will come and do that tomorrow. I noticed that Eddie did not put in the Check Valve between the down hole pump and the storage tank.

28 January 2007 ............................... Sunday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert. I go to the Clerk's Office to get ready for Bishopric Meeting. After the block Brother Donaldson and I Home Teach Sister Purcell, right there at the building. We do Lessons 2 and 3 out of "Preach my Gospel". that is such a wonderful well done book and I wish every person on the face of the earth would read it. It solves the wo ==========================================

28 January 2007 ............................... Sunday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert. I go to the Clerk's Office to get ready for Bishopric Meeting. After the block Brother Donaldson and I Home Teach Sister Purcell, right there at the building. We do Lessons 2 and 3 out of "Preach my Gospel". that is such a wonderful well done book and I wish every person on the face of the earth would read it. It solves the worlds problems!! When I arrive home Scott is here working on our well system so I stop and talk with him and see how he has hooked up the pumps. I don't like the way he has hooked them up because he has the large #8 wire to the down hole pump going through a small #14 wire for about 10 feet. Or in other words he has hooked the float in series with the down hole pump. Also, since he has raised our down hole pump to be 40 feet higher than it used to be now it surges and/or sucks air and/or pulls the water leve down to itself when it is trying to fill our 2500 gallon tank. So as a result he is going to have to put in a device that detects when the down hole pump sucks air and will then cause it to turn off for a while, so the water level can rise, then it will come on again. I have a nice visit with Melissa while I eat some lunch. then I take a nap. then I visit with Melissa some more. then I go to the Stake Center for a Stake Priesthood meeting and for doing more Ward Clerk work.. I receive and e-mail, from Twila, imforming me that Jack Hicks has passed away.

29 January 2007 ......................... Monday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert. I go to work on Area Auditor Stuff. I talk to Brenda, in Kirtland, New Mexico, and learn that Jack will be buried in Paduca, Kentucky. That is where he is from and that is where his wife is buried. There will be a Memorial Service, in Phoenix, but she does not yet know when it will be. I finished the Power Pole today. Now it meets code, AGAIN. I did a write up of our Shared Well. I wrote up the recent history, since it quit on the 16th and Scott first repaired it and got it working again then has since then added in a 2500 Gallon Storage Tank and two more Pressure Tanks and a Pressure Pump. I disagree with the way they are hooked up and I wrote up my reasons for that. I had supper of Hamburger Steaks and Baked Potatoes and Peas all ready when Marilee got home from work at Banner Desert at about 9pmMST. Marilee and Melissa and I have a wonderful Family Home Evening. I read from the talk by President Faust, from October Conference, about being deciiples of Christ. Marilee read from the current ensign the story of person that had been a priest in his church for 15 or 20 years when he met the missionaries. He then read the Book of Mormon and the Bible, at the same time, so he could prove the Book of Mormon was wrong!! He ended up proving the Book of Mormon is right!!

30 January 2007 ........................... Tuesday Cloudy this morning and it looks like there were some raindrops last night. This evening I went to Darren/Julie's for a Potluck for My Mother who passed away four(4) years ago today. It was great and I got some good photos plus a great DVD done, by Darren, about Mom.

31 January 2007 ................. Wednesday I did a lot of Area Auditor Work. I finished the Power Pole. I wrote up our Well Agreement and the changes that have been made and that should be made.
