01 April 2007 ................ Sunday I could not sleep this morning, so started sending out the "It's April" e-mails to 100 stakes. I probaly got 75 of them done before sleep overtook me. 177th Annual General Conference today. We Watch on TV, here in Paradise. It is wonderful. I loved every minute of it. Hard to pick my favorite talk this time. Marilee and Melissa and I drive to Darren/Julie's house for "Taco Sunday". It was very good, as usual. Dad goes in for a surgery on his access lines, this next week, so Darren and Dan and Myself gave him a blessing. When we drive home we come via Gilbert Road and highway 87 and we enjoy the full moon and the clear sky, all the way home. And then "Be if ever so humble, there is no place like home" especially if that home is in PARADISE!!

02 April 2007 ................. Monday Happy B I R T H D A Y to David Thomas Gunderson Our Canadian Son Marilee goes to work today. I finish e-mailing the "It's April" message to the Stakes and I get read for tomorrow's Irrigation.

03 April 2007 ..................... Tuesday Happy Birthday to L A U R A Marilee goes to work and I Irrigate.....I give up, the Gophers win!!! I now think that the only way to hold my own, against the gophers, is with a tractor and a blade. Just redo the ditches from time to time so as to destroy their holes!!! I did succeed in getting the biggest part of our .48 AcreFeet of water onto our pasture, but it was a real battle. First time I ever became so overwhelmed I had to turn the water on down Hannah Road for awhile or I would have lost control here. My biggest headache was where the neighbors, to the north, have put in a new ditch to take the water to themselves but did not provide an adequate way for me to get water into my ditch, so I had to do that with a shovel and that was a BIG BIG job. After some rest I was then able to get a lot of other good things done today. Today we got mosquitoes. Not sure the irrigation caused it, but yesterday we did not have mosquitoes -- today we do. As I was working with Orion I noticed he was covered with mosquitoes. When I brushed them off there was blood on him and me, from the smashed mosquitoes!!

04 April 2007 .................... Wednesday Marilee goes to work at Desert Banner, I go to work in Paradise, mostly Area Auditor Stuff!!. Refurbish the Skeeter Vac and get it moved and running because we have Mosquitoes, as of yesterday!!!

05 April 2007 ..................... Thursday Working on this Journal at 3:30am because I can't sleep!! Marilee and I work around Paradise this morning, getting a lot done. About Noon, Melissa and I take Marilee to Sky Harbor and she flys to SLC for a visit with Sara/David. Darren calls to say that Jared has been called to the Hong Kong China Mission and will be speaking Cantonese. He leaves on 18 July 2007. WOW, what an experience that is going to be!! I tell Darren that is a great Article in the December 2006 Ensign titled "How the Hong Kong Temple came to be". I do some Area Auditor Work today. I get the Lawn Mower running..............AGAIN.

06 April 2007 ...................... Friday I attend the viewing for Valoise Gale at Buelher Morturary. Valoise looked beautiful, as usual!! It is at the Viewing for Valoise that I learn that Ada Jones has passed away.

07 April 2007 ........................ Saturday I attend the funeral for Valoise Gale. It is held at the Chandler Stake Center. Kenny and Dennise and Tom[son of Dennis] were the main speakers. I sat by Dad, Twila and Pat. I drove to the Mesa Cemetary for the Grave Dedication. I can hardly remember when I have seen Frank, Muriel, LeGrande, Jerry, Donny, Dennis, Kenny, Jesse all together at once, but it happened today. I got some Pepitas at Trader Joe's then drove to Paradise. Melissa was not here. Later I drove to Dunne's for the farewell for the Cardon's. When I got back, Melissa was still not here. I washed clothes. I washed dishes. Melissa was still not here. I put the new pants hanger onto the wall of our bedroom. I work at the computer. Melissa is still not here. Finally, at 10:30pmMST I receive a phone call from Marilee, who is in Salt Lake City, telling me that Melissa is at Banner Desert Medical Center being checked out because she, Melissa, has become worried about her unborn baby. We don't know any more that that, at this time.

08 April 2007 .......................... Sunday Easter Sunday Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the twenty-first day of March. We got a phone call from Bridgette at about 1am, said she and Gaia were coming here, but she did not come. Melissa went to Sky Harbor to get Marilee while I attended the Arizona City Ward. Later we went to get Bridgette then Gaia and they then spend the night with us. It is good to have them here. Marilee fixes us a wonderful supper of beans. I love it!![smile].

09 April 2007 ................. Monday A beautiful Spring day here in Paradise. Here to share it are Marilee, Bridgette, Gaia, Melissa, Myself - Wendell Haws Eyring Jr..

13 April 2007 ................... Friday I mailed our 2006 taxes to both ADOR and IRS today. Marilee went to work. Melissa went to town to check on Bridgette!!! Kris Gurr said we can have the wire fencing that he has left over from #1. He helped me load a roll of it into my Silverado. I mailed the letter to Scott and copies to David and Kris. I went to "A Night in Italy" put on by the YW in the Arizona City Ward. It was great. Brought home a plate of food for Marilee. Marilee was very tired when she got home today.

14 April 2007 .................... Saturday Happy Birthday to Sister Lara Nice cool clear spring day. Moon is just a sliver in the eastern sky this morning. I hauled another roll of wire fencing from #1 to Paradise. Marilee/Melissa go to Baby Shower for Alina Gifford. I go to Wal*Mart to return a none working Coin Sorter, then to Chandler Polaris Dealer to order Parts for our Polaris, then to the home of Anut Gwen Ray, in Chandler. She was born this day in 1915 and was having an Open House, all day. It was good to visit her and many other relatives.... Marilee/Melissa get home about dark.

15 April 2007 ................ Sunday Marilee, Melissa Myself Read a scripture then drive to Church in the Malibu. Melissa looks really cute in a new white dress that Sara bought for her. The Reynolds speak in church about Covenant People. Brother Hogle teach Sunday School being Offended and being Offensive. Brother Findlay taught in High Priest Group about Giving Service. Home Teaching meeting with the Hardy's and Marilee, Melissa, Myself, Troy Nichols, Patty Purcell. We did the 5th Lesson in "Preach My Gospel". When we get home I have message that Sister Haines is sick, so I drive over there. Brothers Dunne and Findlay are already there. They have given her a blessing and she is better now. Marilee fixes us some Ham and Eggs then we take a nap. Lots of Wind today.........but no rain

16 April 2007 ................... Monday Marilee goes to work. I work on the Boat and on AreaAuditor stuff and on washing clothes. I change out a bunch of failed light bulbs. A little bit windy and there were a few raindrops a few times today. I fix the Boat Ignition Switch so it will not rotate in the IP when being operated. I replace the supporting structure for the rear seat in the boat. Angela Lara come here to visit with Melissa.

17 April 2007 ...................... Tuesday Cool Spring Day. Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert. I work on Boat and on Area Auditor Stuff. SLC is now down to 16 pages of Delinquent Audits. I sent an e-mail to Brother Dahlgren asking why there is such a sharp increase in Exception #10? I went to Casa Grande where I got Boat Stuff at Home Depot and Pep Boys and Wal*Mart. I called Jacob and set a Home Teaching appointment for 1pm on Sunday. When I hooked tap water to the Boat Engine, so I could test run it, I was extremely dissapointed to find that the cold weather, this last winter, had cracked the block on both sides!! BAD BAD BAD. But then, when driving the boat there is plenty of water available and it has three good bilge pumps to pump all the leaking water out of the boat, so we can still use the boat. The V Belt I got for the WaterPump/Alternator is too wide and does not fit down into the groove far enough to allow me to install it. Will have exchange it tomorrow.

18 April 2007 ..................... Wednesday Marilee and I go to Home Depot to get a post and some lumber and some parts, such as brackets, hose part, JB Weld. Marilee works around the yard. I drive to Eloy to get a burn permit BUT the county now has a ban on burning!!!! I visit with Sonja and encourage her to attend church. I then go to visit with Jennifer, at TA, but she is in a meeting. I then stop by to visit Dee Wilson but I visit with a friend of hers instead because she is out of town and he is watching her animals while she is gone. At Pep Boys I exchange the V Belt for one that will fit the Alt/WP, on the boat. Also get some needed tools and draincocks while there. I put JB weld on the broke block of the Boat Motor. Marilee and I move Orion to some fresh grass. I put a turn off valve onto the outlet of the Air Comressor Tank. A new Water Faucet on the House. I do a lot of Area Auditor Work today. GOOD NEWS today: Partial Birth Abortion is now illegal - upheld to be so by the Supreme Court. Thank you conservatives and thank you President George Bush. The Stock Market Dow closed higher than it has ever closed. Thank you conservatives and thank you President Bush. President Bush is way to Liberal on way to many things but he is conservative on Abortion and on Tax Cuts. By getting the law through congress and then signing it, making Partial Birth Abortion illegal and then appointing two conservative Judges to the Supreme Court, now the HORRIBLE KILLING of People at the time of their birth, is against the law. I cannot understand why we even needed a law about that!!! Killing innocent helpless people has always been illegal in all times and places!! Why did we have to restate the obvious?? Cutting taxes is a no brainer.................if you reduce the percentage of taxes that people/businesses have to pay, then they get excited about making more money so the build things and buy things, then they actually end paying more Money in taxes, so the Government actually gets more revenue, and the drive the Stock Market up because they are buying!! When the tax percentage goes up, people just quit trying to make so much money and/or sell the business they have so they won't have to pay those high tax rates. The liberals scream about tax cuts for the rich, well, you can't give tax cuts for the poor, because the poor don't pay taxes!!!! The rich are paying all the taxes. 19 April 2007 ...................... Thursday,br> Start off the day, working on this journal and other things, such as Area Auditor, here at this desk. Marilee takes Melissa to Seminary to get Melissa's scripture out of a closet there.

21 April 2007 ..................... Saturday Marilee to work. Worked on Boat and AA. Went to Wileta Riggs 90th Birthday Party, at her home, in Chandler. Over 500 people attended and I loved it. Dad, Pat, Twila were there. I bought some milk and eggs, at Albertson's, on the way back to Paradise.

22 April 2007 ..................... Sunday Marilee to work and Melissa too sick to go to church with me. I do a lot of Area Auditor work, before and after Church. Attend Arizona City Ward meeting, at the Casa Grande Stake Center, from 9am till noon. Speaker in Sacrament meeting were Marylyn Cooper and Brother Montes, from the Stake. Sister Cooper paid me a very high compliment, in her talk, for the Gazebos I did for the Against Abuse people, a few years ago. So right after Church I went to Maria Perkins and Larry Ethington and thanked them for actually building the Gazebos. Also, I stood up in Priesthood Meeting and made sure the Ward knows that it was the Perkins and the Ethingtons that build those Gazebos. Brother Hogle did a great job teaching John 7 and 8 in the Gospel Doctrice Class. I was the instructor in the High Priest's Group and the subject was page 85 in the November 2006 Ensign, Boyd K. Packer's "A defense and a refuge". After the Block I took Cody Lara with me, as a Home Teaching Partner, and we went to the Lamoreaux's Home. We had a really nice Home Teaching visit with Jacob and Deanna and Kiera. Sister Lamoreaux had baked cookies for us. I liked that. They gave us a tour of their house and yard and "Treehouse". WOW, what a treehouse. I took Cody home to Arizona City, then I came home to Paradise. I had a bite to eat then went work on AA. Later I washed the dishes so the kitchen would be clean when Marilee came home.

23 April 2007 ....................... Monday Cool and breezy this morning. Wiring for trailer lights had to be redone on both Silverado and Boat trailer so I did it. B-25 flying around the Eloy Airport this morning.

25 April 2007 ...................... Wednesday Well LOOK AT THIS Even the LIBERAL Press has to admit that things are working good under Bush and the Conservatives!!!: NEW YORK - The Dow Jones industrial average shot past 13,000 for the first time Wednesday as stronger-than-expected earnings reports streamed in, suggesting to investors that corporate America is successfully weathering the cooling economy. ADVERTISEMENT The stock market's best-known indicator surged past its latest milestone shortly after the opening of trading, and rose to 13,036.99 before retracing some of its steps and hovering around the 13,000 mark Well LOOK A THIS Seems there are a bunch of Seal Hunting boats stuck in the Ice in the North Atlantic. Been stuck there long enough it has become like an international emergency to rescue because it is so cold the ice is not going to melt anytime soon!!!! NOW, Where is Al Gore when you need him? I had a very nice phone call from Ann this morning. Neither Marilee nor Melissa were here so she talked to me and was a wonderful experience for me. I described, for her, the Hanging tomatoe plants that mom and I put in yesterday. I put new electric fuel pump into boat. Also Got the ready power outlet working. Got my haircut at the clip joint.

26 April 2007 ........................ Thursday Marilee gone to work today. I finished getting the boat ready to go to the Lake. That was what Marilee wanted for her birthday and that is what she is going to get. I took a check to Sister Colfer for the Cannery. I visited with Sister Procter at TA. Got a spare fuel filter, for the boat, at NAPA.

27 April 2007 ............................ Friday Happy Birthday M A R I L E E Happy Birthday G A I A Marilee and Melissa and Myself took the boat to Sahuaro Lake for the day. It was great! I was pleasantly surprised at how much Melissa enjoyed swimming in the lake. On the way to the lake we took Attaway Road and Hunt Highway and Ellsworth Road to Main Street then up Power Road. On the Way back we ate at Fazolis on Main Street then took Power Road to Chandler Blvd, then Gilbert Road to 87 then to Hannah and home. We stopped at Cirkle K on Power and McKellips to get a Forest Service Pass for the lake. Then on to the lake where we put the boat into the water, at the second ramp. We did have a couple problems with the boat.....the new Alternator Belt, I had must put on, failed, so I had to put the old one back on. [frown]. I was running on the rear fuel tank and it plugged up the new Fuel Filter I just put on so I had to switch to the front fuel tank. We stopped a couple place, on the way up the lake for swimming and playing. Then we went way up the lake where we anchored and swam and fed the birds and watch the world go by for a long time. On the way back down the lake we stopped at a campground and Dock that has been set and just tied up the boat and walked around for awhile. Big place with lots of picknic table and barbeques and an outhouse. We will go back there sometime! We got home about 10pm, tired but happy after a wonderful day together. What a week.....Dow went higher then it has ever gone, IRS highest revenue day ever, Unemployment took a sharp dip, Seal Hunter, 100's of them, stuck in the ice in the North Atlantic. Sounds like Al Gore and all the other Liberals are WRONG!!

30 April 20076 ................... Monday Nice spring day. Marilee goes to work and drops Melissa off in Casa Grande as she goes. I wash clothes and wash dishes and stuff like that................. Dr. Gonda tells me I do not have an inner ear infection but I have ears plugged with wax. He cleans them out and prescribes some drops. Parts, for boat, from Home Depot and Wal*Mart. I do some work on the boat. I would rather believe in God and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Atonement, then die and find out it is NOT true then to NOT believe in God and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Atonement, then die and find out it IS true
