July 2004 ............................................ Thursday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert and takes David with her. She drops him off at Andrew's then later David will walk over to MCI for a Job Interview. I took the results of yesterdays Hearing Test, to Dr. Stack, and then he passed me off on My DOT Medical Exam. From the Clerk's Office I picked up the check for Megan Mathews. At 2:pm Megan Mathews came here and picked up Melissa to take her to girls camp. I filled out the required Medical Form and I gave to Megan the Check from the Ward. David passed his MCI Interview, today, and got the job. He reports for work, next Tuesday. There have lots of members of the family work there at MCI at Chandler Blvd. and Dobson Road. Hank, Bridgette, Jeremy, Lance, Myself ....................... When Marilee gets home from work, we are all alone for an evening, so we go out to eat at Flying J. It was a really nice evening together. I loved it. |
July 2004 ............................................. Friday David is not here this morning, he spent the night with Andrew. Melissa is here this morning, she did NOT spend the night at Girls Camp, but came back home with Megan Matthews. Marilee goes to work at Desert Banner. I did a lot of reading this morning, trying to become informed about the Lies told by Michael Moore in his new Movie "Fahrenheit 911". It is strictly a Bush Hating Movie designed to get President Bush out of Office!! Found and took a lot of Sample CDL tests, on the Internet. I did quite well. I should have no trouble when I take the written test next Wednesday. CDL is the Acronymn for Commercial Driver License. |
July 2004 ............................................... Saturday We are all here today........Marilee, David, Melissa, Wendell. I ride Blase for a little while. She does just fine. Orion gets so excited he breaks loose and comes chasing after us. I work on cleaning out the ditch along Hanna. I pull the AC unit out of the office, then tear it down and clean it out. It needed that. |
July 2004 ............................................. Sunday 4th of July .......................... Independance Day David and I had a wonderful Home Teaching experience at the home of DeAnn Lara. Each of the Family Members reported on part of the reading assignment for this month. Then Dave and I drove to Casa Grande Stake Center where we met Marilee and Melissa for the Arizona City Ward Meetings. Marilee's lesson in the Gospel Doctrine Class was tremendous and I learned a lot about the Four Sons of Mosiah. After Church and After Brother Grover and I were finished with Donations, Marilee and I drove to Darren's, in Mesa, for TACO Sunday. David and Melissa and Rachel were already there. Hank and Family were not there this time because they were spending the 4th of July in Payson. Dad and Twila and Pat were there and it was a wonderful visit. |
July 2004 ................................................ Monday Dad enters Banner Mesa Medical Center for Dialysis. Bridgette drives here, from Yuma, spends the day, then later takes Melissa with her to Yuma. Grandpa Wendell checked into Banner Mesa Medical Center (Mesa Lutheren) at 2:15 p.m. today. Room 550. Paper work was filled out and blood drawn. That's about it for today. In the morning they will put in whatever implants are needed for dialysis. So far so good. Twila |
July 2004 ............................................ Tuesday I went to Banner Mesa Medical Center where I visited with Dad, Twila, Sandra. Then Sandra and I drove to "Sweet Tomatoes" where we met Pat and attended the birthday party of Wesley who was born this day in 1939. The food was good and the company was great. Wesley has had a stroke and a hard time recovering, but he is doing good and I really enjoy visiting with him and Aunt Nonie and all the rest of the Millet side of the Family. |
July 2004 ......................................... Wednesday Marilee went to work at Tucson Medical Center, in Tucson, this morning. They needed some help down there. I went to Casa Grande, DOT, Motor Vehicle Division and took the following Written Tests: Class A Commercial Driver License Combination Vehicles Air Brakes Doubles Triples Passengers I could have also passed the tests for Tank and HazMat, also, but I did not have enough money, for the extra fees. I rode blase around the Kowalski 40 acres. The Silverado had two flat tires today........LF and LR. Grandpa Wendell check into Banner Mesa Medical Center (Mesa Lutheran) on Monday, July 5th at 2:15 p.m. Paper work was done and blood drawn. Pinky and Twila with him all afternoon. They served macaroni and cheese and lots of broccoli for dinner. He only ate a few bites of the pasta. Sandra arrived from Sierra Vista. Grandpa Wendell, had company all evening. One of Grandpa Wendell's renters works in the pharmacy at the hospital. When he saw the name Eyring he came upstairs to see if it was the same one who is his neighbor. It was. On Tue. July 6th Grandpa Wendell got no breakfast. From 9:30-10:30 p.m. a perma-a-cath was inserted in his right internal jugular. It was inserted just above the collar bone and comes out just below the collar bone. Two ports hang out which will be used for the dialysis. The nurse who helped put in perma-a-cath in told me he was a very pleasant person to work with, very good natured. Pinky arrived at 10:30 a.m. just as he was being returned to his room. Sandra came a bit later. By lunch time he was hungry and he ate a good lunch and actually enjoyed it. From 2:00-5:00 p.m. he had dialysis there on the 5th floor of the hospital. They took him in his bed to and from. Everything went fine. When the nurse rolled him back into his room she said there are a bunch of people in your room, I hope you know them. He did. It was Laddy, Sandra and Twila. They visited while he ate dinner. Then Laddy and Sandra meet with Pinky and the Millet family for dinner in Tempe for Wesley Millet's 64th birthday. Twila and her Dad read scriptures after they left as they do each evening. Grandpa Wendell back in bed about 7 p.m. At 7:45 the nurse gave him Tylenol for pain. Sandra and Laddy came back to hospital to visit after the dinner. Laddy left. Then Sandra and Twila left at 9:20 p.m. On Wednesday morning they will put some type of port in his left arm. He is doing okay. He's in room 550. |
July 2004 ................................................. Thursday It rained this morning. Well some may just call it a sprinkle but it was a rain to us! David went to work at MCI, riding with Marilee, as she went to work at Banner Desert. I talked to Sean, and designated CDL Examiner, and found that he can do both Truck and Bus, when I am ready for the test. I rode Blase for nearly an hour. She is doing good. I pumped up the flat tires then I took the Silverado to Tire Pros and had them patch both left tires. In the evening I met Marilee at Home Depot, in Casa Grande, and we bought a new washing machine. |
July 2004 ............................................... Friday David rides with Marilee as they go to work, up in the Valley, today. I put Blase and Orion onto the pasture today. I am out of Hay and no money to buy more. I pick up David, Andrew, Rachel, at Andrew's and take them to Matta's where we meet My Siblings and Marilee for the Eyring Family Reunion. Must have been 50 of us. After all that good Mexican Food, we go to Rhodes Jr. High Pool for a swimming Party. Hank knew the time and so we got to see the Space Station fly over. On Friday, July 9th Grandpa Wendell had high fever of 103.2. He has a staph infection. He will have the perm-a-cath in his right shoulder removed this evening. He's been given a priesthood blessing. The doctor feels that once the infection around the perm-a-cath site is cleared up he will be fine. Don't know yet when he will be released from the hospital. Twila |
July 2004 ....................................... Saturday Sara is 23 years old, having been born on this day in 1981. Marilee and David and I drive to Kiwanis Park, in Tempe, for the Eyring Siblings Family Reunion. Only Siblings not represented are Murr and Dixie. |
July 2004 .................................................... Sunday Marilee, David, Wendell attend Arizona City Ward at 12:NOON. Three of the Lara girls [Soleil, Angela, Katie] talk in church, along with Amanda Johnson, our next door neighbor. Gospel Doctrine Class is really good, with Marilee as the instructor. After Church, Marilee and David come home to paradise, then David drives the Malibu to Tucson where he picks up Sara and David and brings them back here. Then Marilee takes off for Gila Bend where she picks up Bridgette and Melissa while David and I drive to the Stake Center for Stake Priesthood Meeting. Ben Grover is one of the speakers. President Walton is in charge and during his speach hee says the words that we hear so much from the Church Leaders ....... TURN OFF the TV !!!!! Later we have a really nice visit here in Paradise. |
July 2004 ..................................................... Monday Bridgette, Sara, David, David, Melissa, Marilee, Wendell, are the people here, when we awake this morning. Marilee and Bridgette go to Eloy for Gasoline. I ride Blase for the longest ride yet. Bridgette cooks breakfast of Sausage and Eggs. I spend about an hour backing up the horse trailer, in preparation for a CDL Driving test on Wednesday. When it get dark I build a big ole bonfire with help from Tanner and Brennon. When that burns down we have a weiner roast. Attending are Marilee, Bridgette, Sara, David, David, Melissa, Rachel, Tanner, Brennon. It was nice and cool with occasional raindrops from above. A very pleasant evening. Ann arrived, from Sierra Vista, too late for the bonfire. On Thurs. July 8th Wendell was doing well enough the doctor thought he'd be able to go home on Friday after dialysis. On Friday morning he could walk to the bathroom. When he came back from dialysis he was ill and was too weak to walk. By 1 p.m. he had a temperature of 103.2 so blood was drawn to determine the problem. An antibiotic IV was started. April's husband Dan along with Carl and Matt Benzon gave him a priesthood blessing. His fever did lower a bit but he was very flushed and tired. He did enjoy visits from family members. On Saturday he was still so weak he couldn't feed himself or get out of bed. Blood cultures showed he had a staph infection. About 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 10th he went to dialysis. When he got back to his room he vomited and unfortunately aspirated some of it. Some of his grandchildren were there to visit with him. He was happy to meet Russell's wife Nicole. About 8:20 p.m. He went to radiology where the perm-a-cath was removed because that was the source of the infection. About 9 p.m. I had the nurse check his breathing. He had rattling in his lungs & oxygen level was down to 86%. She immediately started him on oxygen. At 1 a.m. Sunday they began breathing treatments to help open his airways. Also during the night Grandpa Wendell's temp. went back up to 103. Sunday morning as he started eating breakfast Twila had to feed him, but his strength came back and he was able to finish feeding himself. He slept a lot on Sunday but his strength was coming back. By dinner he ate a good meal and was feeling much better. Monday, July 12th he felt strong enough to try standing. That took a lot of energy. He could only stand for about 30 seconds but he still couldn't walk. He sat on edge of bed and ate his breakfast. He will stay in hospital at least another week. The plan is to not give him dialysis again until the graft in his left arm is stable enough. He will need physical therapy to help him regain enough strength to walk again. |
July 2004 ........................................... Tuesday Marilee takes David to work and Melissa to Lab for test. Later Ann, Sara, David, drive to Grandmothers to meet with Mom and go tubing down the Salt River. I practice backing up the horse trailer, in preperation for tomorrows CDL Driving Test. The hospital determined that Grandpa Wendell was stable and insurance wouldn't pay for a longer hospital stay so -Grandpa Wendell has been transferred to Springdale West- Address: 3130 E. Broadway -in Mesa- Room 415. He arrived about 8:40 p.m. Tues. July 13th. On Wed. at 8:00 a.m. he will be back at the hospital as an outpatient to receive dialysis. |
July 2004 ....................................... Wednesday I took and passed the Commercial Driver License, Driving Test, today. I passed> This morning, early, Marilee took Sara, David, Melissa, David, up to the Valley. First she took David to Sky Harbor so he can fly to Salt Lake City. His Father is probably going to die either today or tomorrow. Then she took David to work at MCI. Then Melissa to Banner Desert where Dr. Genta removed Melissa's tonsils. Marilee arrive back here at Paradise long before I did. Around 9 to 10 am, Ann, Bridgette, Daisy Bear took off for Sierra Vista and I took off for Gilbert, stopping in Casa Grande to cash a check at Sunstate Bank and get some breakfast at Jack-in-the-Box. The Commercial Driver Driving Test took four(4) hours. I passed and I have a good time doing it, with Nick, My Testor. We did this at RSC at 215 E. Baseline in Gilbert. Nick furnished the Truck/Tractor Trailer Rig for the test, since I don't have one. Nick has been drive truck, for RSC, for 17 years. Next I must get with a Testor that has a buss, so I can pass of the Passenger portion of my Class "A" CDL. On My way back to Paradise, I picked up David, in Chandler, at Andrew's House. Then I took David to the Casa Grande Stake Center where I did Clerk Work and he attended the Mutual Dance with Rachel. Then drove the Silverado to Paradise where we were finally reunited with Marilee, Sara, Melissa. David and I then go out and changed the Oil and Filter in the Malibu. Things are always changing. Grandpa Wendell did spend Tues. night at Springdale West. By 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 14th we were told that he would be readmitted to the hospital. The results of the culture test showed he still has staph infection. Also a temporary catheter would be put in his neck which requires hospitalization. The insurance company was behind the move out of the hospital. So Twila drove Wendell in the car from Springdale West to Mesa Lutheran. All the exertion to stand and get into wheelchair upset his stomach. He vomited in hospital parking lot. We then went inside and checked back into hospital. He had surgery to place catheter for dialysis in right jugular. By 12:30 p.m. he was upstairs in room 540. At 2:30 p.m. he went to dialysis on the same floor. He has been getting stronger each day as far as walking a few steps is concerned. He's no worse for the wear as far as the travel across town went. |
July 2004 .......................................... Thursday David drove the Mailbu to Chandler to work at MCI. Marilee drives the Silverado to Eloy to get some Ice Marilee drives the Silverado to Casa Grande for an Office Call with Dr. Stack about a growth that she, Marilee has on her hand. When she returns, from Dr. Stack, she says that the growth, on her hand, must come off but that the big concern is her irregular HeartBeat and Dr. Stack wants her in Banner Desert Medical Center, today, for some diagnostic procedures! We are expecting a call, from Banner Desert, to inform us when there is a bed available then Marilee is to go into the Hospital, today. Today I ride Orion for the better part of two hours, all and once and all in the round pen. This is the longest ride that Orion has EVER had. He did good but he sure does spook easily when something unusual happens. In the evening Marilee and I go to Circle K, in Eloy, for Ice and Ice Cream. Today as Grandpa Wendell was in dialysis it appeared he had irregular heartbeat. So after dinner on 5th floor he was transferred to telemetry on 3rd floor so his heart can be monitored. He has an occasional irregular heartbeat. He's in room 342. He is making progress as far as physical strength. He will be happy to get out of hospital and go home. Twila Wednesday evening July 14th Grandpas Wendell was assigned to telemetry floor in Mesa Lutheran Hospital because of irregular heartbeats. When nurse checked his oxygen level it was at 87%. It should have been 92% or higher. On Thursday, July 15th he had an echocardiogram done to determine if the infection has affected the heart. He will receive antibiotic by IV everyday. Also with catheter that was put in his neck on Wednesday he will have to stay in the hospital for dialysis. |
July 2004 ...................................................... Friday Marilee leaves early this morning. She takes Sara to Sky Harbor for her trip to Salt Lake City, returning early because of the death of David's Father, yesterday. She takes David to work at MCI Then Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert Medical Center, whereas yesterday, at this time, we thought Marilee would now be a patient in Banner Desert Medical Center. Things change fast !!!! I am here with Melissa, who is recuperating from a Tonsillectomy [spelling]. The humity is high so it is hot. I take blase for a long ride over on the west side of LaPalma and we find My Hat that blew off over there, last week!!! Marilee and David get home at about 08:35pmMST and I have supper fixed for them. It was quite good, actually! Grandpa Wendell had good night. Today July 16th as of 8 a.m. heartbeats are regular. He ate good breakfast. Able to walk half way from bathroom to bed. He can get in & out of bed by himself. He is getting IV antibiotics each day until the infection is cleared up. Don't know yet when he will be able to leave hospital. He has dialysis today in hospital 8:30-11:30 a.m. Twila Thanks to all those who contributed to the reunion fund. Here is list of amount owed and who has paid. Kit: $7.oo -paid Sandra: $15.oo -paid Matthew: $1.oo -paid Courtney: $1.oo -paid Hank: $29.50 -paid Marilee: $14.50 Today (Friday) in dialysis Grandpa Wendell got a blood transfusion. In the afternoon his oxygen level was in the high 90's so he no longer needs to have oxygen given to him. He is still recievingthe antibiotic Cefazolin by IV each day. Grandpa Wendell is showing improvement. He is walking more. |
July 2004 .................................................... Saturday Marilee leaves for work at Banner Desert at about 5amMST. Beautiful Sunrise this morning.....That means it is quite cloudy out there. Marilee calls me from work when she realizes that we have not yet call State Farm about the change of Malibus so as a result we do not have an insurance card on the current Malibu so she cannot take it to Ft. Huachuca. I get busy and finally find the CURRENT insurance cards and license registrations on both the Impala and the Silverado so at least we have two legal cars to drive. David cleans out the Impala and we charge the battery and clean the terminals. I check the air pressure in all the tires on the Impala and Silverado. I water all the plants and practice shooting the 12 Gauge. Marilee does arrive home, safely, with the Malibu so now it is PARKED until I can get with Mike Bott, State Farm Insurance, on Monday and get CURRENT Insurance cards on it. David takes the Impala and goes on a date with Rachel. I ride Orion, out in the open. We go all the way around the Kowalski Property, then back and forth on North Blair till Orion accepts that He cannot just go back to the Pasture simply because HE wants to. I work on the Sunday School Lesson of Alma Chapters 30 and 31. Grandpa Wendell's heart rate has been steady so it was determined he could move from the heart floor back to the renal floor. The doctor said temporary catheter in his neck can come out. It was too late on Saturday night to do it, no one but the emergency room doctor was available to remove it. So perhaps on Sunday it can be removed. Then on Monday a perm-a-cath will be put in again. He will continue to get antibiotic each day he is in the hospital. Then when he leaves hospital and goes to dialysis unit he will get antibiotic after each session. He is now in room 542. |
July 2004 ........................................ Sunday David and I are the only ones here this morning. WELL, that's if you do not count Blase, Orion, Oreo, Shade, Casper, Tuxedo, Ebony. I work on the Sunday School Lesson of Alma Chapters 30 and 31. Kevin and Amanda Johnson ride to Church with David and I. David drives the Impala. Sacrament Meeting was great with really good talks by Myria Mitchell and Sister Wenzel. I teach the Gospel Doctrine class, on 30th and 31st Chapters of Alma. I dramatize a bit by having Brother Findlay, stand on a chair, and give the Prayer of the Zoramites, then I have Brother Payne kneel on the floor and give the Prayer of Alma. It had a good effect and hopefully helped the classmembers see the difference in the two. Brother Grover and I do the Donations then David drives us [David, Kevin, Amanda, Mysel] home to Paradise. David and I have a supper of Tortillas and Beans and Cheese......Can't beat that!! Then David goes to the Youth Fireside. |
July 2004 ............................................... Monday David and I are the only ones here this morning. David and I go to Chandler, where Dave goes to work at MCI. I take the Impala and drive to Banner Mesa where I visit with Dad and Twila in Room 542. I eat some Oatmeal Mush in the Cafeteria, at the hospital. Sandra comes and we visit more. Lurline and Kay come and we visit more. I go to two shoe repair shops, to get my boots repaired, but they are both closed on Mondays. I go to RSC at 215 E. Baseline in Gilbert where I get back my CDL Training Manual. After a talk with the Gilbert School District, that is hiring School Bus Drivers, and learning what they pay and what they expect, I drove to the MVD and got my Class A Commercial Driver License with the Doubles/Triples endorsement and told them to forget about the Buss Endorsement because I just decided I don't want to drive a buss. I go to Mike Bott's State Farm Office, at it's new location accross from Tempe Marine. I get current insurance cards for the Malibu and I have a really nice visit with Mike Bott. He is into Fly Fishing and really enjoying it. I show Mike www.wendelleyring.com and recommend that he study the "911" Section. After getting some hose parts at Home Depot I pickup David at MCI. We drive to Casa Grande where we get Milk and Eggs. On the way to Paradise, we get into such a heavy Thunderstorm, so heavy that we have to turn on the Windshield Wipers for several strokes!!!!! Marilee gets home, from Ft. Huachuca, at about 07:00pmMST. She left Bridgette and Melissa, at Ann's. We have a nice visit and FHE together, just the three of us, David Marilee Myself. We read the 32nd Chapter of Alma. On Saturday evening July 16th after supper Grandpa Wendell transferred from the heart floor to the renal floor. He had a good night. Sunday morning after breakfast the catheter in his neck was removed. Later in day he received IV of antibiotic. Monday morning (today) he had new perm-a-cath put in chest just below collar bone. He went to dialysis at 11:15 a.m. If all goes well he should be able to return home by supper time. |
July 2004 ........................................... Tuesday Lindsay is 8 years old today. I call her and tell her "Happy Birthday" and to be sure and go to www.wendelleyring.com for her happy birthday message. Marilee and David go to work today. I start a pot of beans. I finish making the Pot of Beans and it IS GOOOOD. Not the best EVER made [smile] but, very good. A new perm-a-cath was put in Grandpa Wendell's right shoulder and dialysis done on Monday July 19th. About 5 p.m. an IV antibniotic was given to him. When it was finshed he got dressed and headed home. On elevator down rode with Lurline's granddaughter Pawnii (Gary's daughter). Went to pharmacy next to drop of new presciptions then home by 6:45 p.m. Just as Twila got him to front door he said to wait that his stomach was upset. So she turned the wheelchair around and sure enough -up came lunch. Then she wheeled him in house. He watched TV. About 45 minutes later he felt good enough to eat a bowl of ice-cream. Then to bed a bit at 8. He said this perm-a-cath doesn't hurt like the 1st one did. His schedule for dialysis now will be M, W, F at a facility in Tempe. He is glad his 2-week stay in the hospital is over. |
July 2004 ..................................................... Wednesday I change the oil/filter in the Impala. Also I replace the [oil] fouled spark plug so that now the Impala is again running on 8 cylinders. Ann comes from Ft. Huachuca, bringing with her Bridgette and Melissa. David get the second monitor working on his computer. So now there are two monitors, side by side, so you can move the Mouse Cursor back and forth between them and you can move open windows from one Monitor to the other Monitor. |
July 2004 ................................................. Thursday Today I irrigate the pasture. It went well and we got a good coverage. We sure do need to burn the ditch ...... you see, when you irrigate that is good for the pasture but that also waters the weeds, all the way from CAIDD to here, and the weeds are growing like crazy. When Marilee goes to work, at Banner Desert, she take with her: David, Bridgette, Melissa. David goes to work at MCI while Bridgette and Melissa go to Dr. Genta. Bridgette is so cute.......... This eveing, she was soooo excited because she is going to get her Tonsils OUT. Dr. Genta was not happy with Melissa's recovery and changed some medication for her. At about 4pm I drive to the Casa Grande Stake Center and the Arizona City Clerk's Office where I do a lot of clerk work. When Bishop Cozart shows up, he interviews me, then when David shows up he interviews David. After that interview, David, Bridgette, Melissa take the Malibu and go home. Next he interviews Marilee and finally Marilee and I talk to him [together] about his estimate of what it would cost to FINISH our house, here in paradise. Then Marilee and I go home to Paradise and enjoy the reuniting with our lovely family. |
July 2004 ................................................. Friday Marilee and David drive to work today ....... David at MCI - Marilee and Banner Desert. They take with them, Bridgette and Melissa. I ride Orion. I pump the ditch. I water plants. I wash clothes. I Trim front hooves on Blase. I study the possiblility of making money off from the Internet. In the evening we watch "Signs". Lousy Movie, Great Acting. Grandpa Wendell now goes to dialysis at a facility in Tempe. It's on the South West corner of Priest and Southern. It's 10.4 miles from home with easy access from the freeway. He goes Mon/Wed/Fri. for a 4-hour session, starting at 11:00 a.m. He's been dizzy the last 2 days. I called kidney doctor and he said to cut his blood pressure medicine in half. Today (Friday) during the last 30 minutes of dialysis his blood pressure plummeted to 76/29. They had to add saline solution to help bring his pressure back up. I am hoping that eventually he will be feeling better. |
July 2004 .............................................. Saturday When Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert she takes with her Bridgette and Melissa. |
July 2004 .......................................... Sunday David, Marilee, Melissa and I go to Arizona City Ward at Noon. Bridgette chooses to stay here in Paradise. Marilee teaches in Gospel Doctrine Class and I teach in High Priest Quorum. Marilee does a great job and teaches us Chapter 33 and 34 of Alma. Haines were not at church, again this week, so when I get done with Donations, after Church, I drive to the Haines Home and visit with them. Jack is just not able to make it to Church this week. He is just too weak and unstable. I stop by to visit with Sonja, but noone answers the door!! When I arrive at Paradise I learn that I just missed Sara! Brent and Sara had come by to pick up Bridgette and Melissa and take them to Levi's in Yuma. Later I got a call from Sara asking about the transmission and if it might have failed, in Brent's car, because the did not make it to Yuma. They were 30 Miles short of Yuma! After talking to Sara and then Brent, I determined that the car was "Out of Gas". Since they already had Levi on his way to them, with a can of Gas, there was nothing I could do to help. Sara called later to verify that they had put gas in the car and were on the way to Yuma. I was glad to hear that I can wuit worrying about them. |
July 2004 .......................................... Monday Marilee stayed home today so she could go see Dr. Algol. Then when she did that, He was not there. David drove the Malibu to work, in Chandler, and the A/C quit working, so he was hot and sweaty when he got home in the evening. Marilee fixes a wonderful supper of Salmon and Salad. We watch "Dances with Wolves" then we read the 36th Chapter of Alma. |
July 2004 ......................................... Tuesday Marilee and David took the Silverado, and my Wallet, to Mesa to go to work. I was going to take the Malibu to Cropper Chevrolet for A/C Repair BUT no Driver License, because it is in the Silverado, so I will wait till tomorrow. I work here at Paradise. I do a lot of odd jobs around here. Levi and Sara arrive here somewhere around 01:00pmMST. Levi is on his way from Yuma to Tucson, to help his Father, Brent, move. He drops Sara off here to visit with us. Levi and I have a nice visit while he is here, then he goes on to Tucson. I invite Sara and Melissa to go with me to Coolidge but they decline. Sara wants me to get some distilled water and gives me the money to do so. I take the Impala to Coolidge to pay our water payment, the I go to Wal*Mart and get 4 gallons of distilled Water. I have a nice bon-fire, this evening. |

Marilee takes the Impala, to work today, so the rest of us can drive the Silverado, to Lindsay's baptizm, because the Silverado has A/C!! What a loving Mother and Wife she is. She could have taken the Silverado, and all it's comforts, and we would have taken the Impala, with no problem at all, BUT Marilee was thinking of US. No wonder we love her so MUCH. OUR Grandaughter Lindsay is baptised today. "Way to go LINDSAY" About Noon, Sara, David, Melissa, Myself drive the Silverado to Casa Grande. We leave David at the Stake Center, with Rachel, then We drive to Mesa and visit Dad/Twila at 44 South LeSueur. While at the Stake Center I get to visit with Tammy Nicols Wagner. She and wendy were best of friends, back in the 70's, when we lived in Gilbert, and I had not seen her since about 1976. Nice to see her again and she was carrying her first and only Grandchild. Cute kid!! Marilee is there also, having driven there from Banner Desert after getting off from work. Then we all go to Hank and Michelle's for "Home Made" Root Beer and Ice Cream. After that Marilee, Sara, Melissa take the Impala and go shopping while I go with Hank to the home of John and Tammy Wagner where we load up some scap wood that I will later use in the Deep Pit Barbeque. |
