01 August 2004 ............................................ Sunday Luke Eyring was born this day in 1998. So he is Six (06) years old now. David is at work today, so I went home teaching, to the Lara Family, by myself. It was a really good visit and we studied the Book of Alma, chapter 33 - 34. I then drove to paradise then to the Stake Center while Marilee drove to the stake center with Melissa, in the Impala. Sara stayed home and made some Spanish Rice for "Taco Sunday" at Darren's. After church, I worked on the donations, with Bro. Grover, while Marilee drove home to get Sara and the Rice. Then we all [Marilee, Sara, Rachel, Melissa, Hanna, Myself] take the Silverado to Chandler [Andrew's home] where we pick up David. Then we drive to Darren's for "Taco Sunday". Attending were: Dad, Twila, Pat, April, Darren, Julie, Jared, Matthew, Brandon, Courtney, Lauren, Kelly, Hank, Michelle, Emily, Jessica, Lindsay, Luke, Marilee, Sara, David, Rachel, Hanna, Melissa, Myself and some other that I can't name. We sing "Happy Birthday" to Luke. After that we went to Kevin/Jinny's for a nice visit with their family and also Angela/Kenneth. We then went to the Casa Grande Stake Center, via Sacaton. Rachel took her car home and we took the Impala and Silverado home.

02 August 2004 ............................................. Monday Rained, a lot this morning. I know, I was outside unloading the firewood from the Silverado and it POURED the whole time. Marilee takes Sara to Dr. Stack because of the Sty she has in her Left Eye.

03 August 2004 .............................................. Tuesday Marilee drove the Silverado to work today because the Malibu is still in the shop. Later Cropper Chevrolet called to tell me they are waiting for parts and I can go get a rental car [on Chevrolet] from Enterprise. Brent comes from Tucson and brings a Computer Table that belongs to Levi. He then takes Sara and Melissa back to Tucson with him. David and I drive to Casa Grande where I get the Loaner/Rental from Enterprise.

04 August 2004 ..................................... Wednesday Marilee and David go to work in the Silverado. I find that Orion has slipped the rope over his head and he is now running loose, so I go get him and tie him up again. It is overcast today and by 8am the sun has not yet come out. In the Afternoon I take the Rental Car [a Malibu] back to Enterprise then they drive me to Cropper Chevrolet where I get our Malibu that now has a new A/C Blower motor in it. The Sun Visors are still on back order. David stays in Chandler today, so Marilee and I are the only ones here, this evening. We watch "The Man from Snowy River Part Two".

05 August 2004 ............................................. Thursday Marilee and I are the only ones here, this morning. Marilee drives the Malibu and goes to work in Tucson. At 07:00pmMST I meet Marilee at "Barney's" in Casa Grande for supper. It was good.

06 August 2004 ............................................ Friday This morning there were dark skys and thunder and a "Rainbow" in the west sky. Usually we have that in the east sky, not the west. Marilee left for Banner Desert at about 05:30amMST. It rained a lot this morning. I made a payment to CAIDD and to Stockmen's Bank and got a haircut. David and Marilee get home at about 8pm. We watch "Hidalgo".

07 August 2004 ............................................... Saturday David drove the Silverado to work in Chandler today. Sara and Melissa came from Tucson and Marilee took them to town to get ready for School starting on Monday. Jeremy Pierson came to meet with David, but David did not show up. After waiting a couple hours, Jeremy called David and learned that David was not coming. We watched "Hidalgo" again tonight.

08 August 2004 .......................................... Sunday Jared got his Patriarchal Blessing today. After Church we went to Darren's for Taco Sunday, again, because Tim and Family were there, or at least they got there while we were still there. David was at work today so he drove to Darren's from work.

09 August 2004 ............................................ Monday Hank's Birthday ................... Hank was born on this day in 1966 Hank is now Thirty Eight (38) years old. I drove to the Desert, west of the Renesaunce Festival and South of Superstition Mountain. [right across the street from the "Peralta Trail". I took the Polaris and let the grand kids ride it. Tim, Darren, Hank were there with all of their families. It was HOT until the wind started blowing then it was dirty and dusty. We had a GREAT time. I then took Angie with me, to Paradise. We had a great time together.

10 August 2004 ............................................ Tuesday Angie was here, this morning. She rode Blase four(4) times today. She was riding Blase all over the place and Angie was the boss. That is pretty good for a child riding Blase. Angie learned to get on and off from Blase, by herself.

11 August 2004 ...................................... Wednesday Marilee took Angie with her, as she went to work. She dropped Angie off at Hank's, where Amber, Amy, Austin are. Everything with fine BUT Angie left her glasses here. That was my fault, I woke her about 5am and got her into the car so Marilee could take her and I remember everything but her glasses which were sitting right there by Angies bed!!!! Sorry about that Angie.

13 August 2004 ......................................... Friday Julie was born this day in 1966 so she is Thirty Eight (38) year old now. I got a call from Sue, as they were passing through Kingman, on their way to Mesquite, asking if I could get Angies Glasses to them ASAP because Angie is having headaches without them. Sue had just becomce aware that Angie did not have her Glasses with her. I met Dave, at Wal*Mart and bought a LexMark Ink Jet Printer, so we can file our 2003 ADOR Taxes. David took the printer home and got it working, while I drove over to the Post Office where I mailed off Angie's glasses to her, in Mesquite. We got a lot of rain this evening.

14 August 2004 .................................... Saturday The new Lexmark Printer worked and I was able to get the needed Tax Forms from the State of Arizona Web Site, Print them out, fill them out, and pay or 2003 Taxes. The Silverdado is not here today. David has it. I put two quarts of oil in the Impala today. I made a run to Casa Grande to Mail our 2003 Arizona Income Tax Return. I got a few items of food and a bit of Gasoline, while I was there.

15 August 2004 .................................................. Sunday After Church we drive to Kevin/Jinny's for "Taco Sunday". David meets us there. Lots of people there and it was a very good visit. We drive through a lot of Dust/Rain on the way home.

16 August 2004 ......................................... Monday Big day today................ Bridgette had her Tonsils out..........She has been looking forward to that. I took Melissa to school, using the Malibu, then I took the Malibu to Cropper Chevrolet for service because the Power Steering does not work. Marilee, Bridgette, David, came to get me, with the Silverado, then we drove to Mike Bott, State Farm, but they were closed. Next we took Bridgette to Banner Desert Medical Center, to have Dr. Genta take out her tonsils. When They took her in, David stayed with her, and we went to the new medical center just south of the Chandler West Stake Center, that we used to go to, so Marilee can have a stress test run, on her heart, by Dr. Klee. Then I drove back north on Dobson Road to Banner Desert where I picked up Bridgette and David. Then we drove south on Dobson Road and picked up Marilee. Then we drove to Mike Bott, State Farm and got the current Insurance Card for the Hyundai. Then to pickup Rachel. Then to MVD to get current Tags on the Hyndai. Then to Taco Bell for "Tacos". Then to Casa Grande High School to get Melissa. Then to Paradise!!!! whew.

17 August 2004 ...................................... Tuesday Jordan was born this day in 1990. I called to tell him Happy Birthday, but he is gone golfing with Bubba. I did have a nice talk with Wendy and I always love that. Jeremy Pierson came today and worked on the Movie that he and Dave are making. Marilee and Bridgette watched "Hildago" today. I watched for awhile. Marilee took Bridgette to Yuma, using the Hyundai. Dave received a call from Cropper Chevrolet that the Malibu was repaired, but we did not have time to go get the car.

18 August 2004 ............................................... Wednesday Marilee and David drove the Hyundai to Mesa to work today. Melissa went to Seminary/School with Amanda Johnson, again today. About 10am I bought a Room AC at Home Depot [indentical to the one it is replacing - yet this one was only $76.00, then went to Dr. Stack's Office for a blood test. I will see Dr. Stack on Friday for the results of the test. When Marilee and David come home, from work, they bring both the Malibu and the Hyundai, having picked up the repaired Malibu from Cropper Chevrolet. We get another storm, with rain, this evening.

19 August 2004 ........................................ Thursday Marilee and David go to work, together, in the Malibu. Melissa goes to Seminary/School with the Johnson's. I get my haircut at "The Clip Joint" in Casa Grande. Marliee calls to say her heart test was positive and she is going into Banner Desert for a "Heart Cath" on Wednesday - 25 August 2004.

20 August 2004 ............................................ Friday David and Marilee go to work in the Malibu. Melissa goes to Seminary/School with Johnsons This evening, after Marilee and I had gone to sleep, David woke us telling us that there was a strange noise coming from the area south of us. Said he had turned Oreo loose and wanted us to check it out. David said that sometimes it sounded like a groaning and sometimes it sounded like the theme from "Remember the Titans". While Marilee was looking for the guns, I went out with the 1,000,000 candlepower light and started searcing to the South. I saw what looked like someone running along Hanna Rd. carrying a flashlight. Jeremy Johnson was also here. I thought maybe there had been a wreck and so I drove the Silverado out to Hanna and La Palma. I saw nothing there so I drove along Hanna to the Prison. One of the Prison Guard Pickups was there in plain sight, so I drove up and talked to the Officer in the pickup.........................She said she had not seen anyone running loose but they did have an Officer that was out running laps!! I explained to her who I was, where I lived and what we had seen and heard. Then I went back home and explained to the family that what we had seen and heard was a Prison Officer out running laps.

21 August 2004 ...................................................... Saturday David and Marilee went to work. David in the Hyundai and Marilee in the Malibu. Melissa watched TV and I worked. I was sick today and I worked myself almost to exhaustion.

22 August 2004 .................................................... Sunday When I awake this morning, David is not here [spent the night at Andrew's], Melissa is sleeping on our bedroom floor. I guess the incident with the Prison Guard running down the road really scared her. Marilee, Melissa, Myself go to Arizona City Ward, in the Malibu, arriving in time for the meetings at 12Noon. Marilee teaches the Gospel Doctrine Class, finishing up the Book of Alma. I teach the High Priest's Group and our subject is Missionary Work. After Bro. Grover and I are done with donations, Marilee, Melissa, Myself come back to Paradise, in the Malibu. When David arrives, from Chandler, in the Hynudai, David and I go Home Teaching to the Haines, who were to sick to come to church today. After that David and I attempt to home teach Sonya but, she is not there. In the eveing Richard and Sharon Hardy come here to do their Home Teaching and Visiting Teaching. While they are here, Richard and Myself give blessings to Marilee and to Melissa. Marilee goes into the Hospital for a "Heart Cath" on Wednesday and Melissa has an infected ear.

23 August 2004 ................................................... Monday Marilee drove the Malibu to work today. David is off today. When Marilee is on the way home, the AC quits, again, in the Malibu so she take it to Cropper Chevrolet and I drive to CG and pick her up there. On the way to Casa Grande I stop at Melissa's Buss Stop in Tierra Grande to get her but Amanda Johnson is also there to get her and Melissa does not feel well so she rides home with Amanda. As Marilee and I are coming home, we stop at Walgreens to get some medication for Melissa.

24 August 2004 ...................................... Tuesday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert. David works on the Computer. I irrigate. Marilee comes home at just the right time that she picks up Melissa from school. In the evening we eat hamburgers and french fries and watch the Olympics.

25 August 2004 ...................................................... Wednesday David drives to work at MCI. Marilee does not go to work today. I take Marilee to Banner Desert Medical Center, where the "Heart Cath" procedure is performed, on her, by Dr. Clee. When it is all over, Dr. Clee tells Me that there is NOTHING wrong with Marilee's Heart. That is extremely good news for to me. Still leaves us wondering why Marilee has the irregular heart beat and why the shortness of breath, but now we know her heart is good. The procedure was serious enough that She had to remain in a hospital bed for another three or four hours before they would let her go. I then drove Marilee home to Paradise.

26 August 2004 ...................................... Thursday David goes to work and Melissa goes to school. Marilee have a nice day together. We drive to Picacho via the back way, by the Eloy Cemetary then going south on Vail Road to the Picacho School, where we will vote next month. Then we go south on Picacho Blvd. all the way to Baumgarten. We then work our way East and South to Red Rock Cattle Company and Red Roch School. Nice little community "Red Rock". We then cross over I 10 and go West and North on the frontage road to the Dairy Queen at Picacho Peak where we get some Gasoline and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the "Banana Split" by having a couple of Banana Splits. The Banana Split was invented in 1904. We then cross under I 10 where we locate "Arizona Nut Company" but they are closed today. We also find that the old Stuckey's is now Nicerson Farms and that has been closed for many many years. The old Picacho Trading Post has burned down and fenced off.

27 August 2004 .................................................... Friday Marilee and I work around the house today. I put two shelves in the top of the closet in the bathroom. Cropper Chevrolet finally gets the Malibu done so I take Marilee to Cropper to get the Malibu then to go get Melissa from school. I go to the Clerk's Office to do some work but cannot get in because the carpet is being replaced. I go to Safeway to make some copies but the machine will not work and they don't have time to deal with it. I go to 7/11 to make some copies but they are just too busy. I get two quarts of oil, for the Impala, at Wal*Mart then I go back to Paradise, arriving there the same time as do Marilee and Melissa.

28 August 2004 ......................................... Saturday David is gone to work at MCI this morning. Marilee, Melissa and Myself are here in Paradise with Blase, Orion, Oreo, Casper, Ebony, Tuxedo. Pearsons, Johsnons, Eyrings sign the letter to Austins stating that their Well Agreements are in arrears and their water has been turned off and cannot be turned back on till the arrears is paid. In the eveing we have a BonFire and weiner roast with the Johnsons from Lot #3.

30 August 2004 .................................................... Monday Marilee goes to work and Melissa goes to Seminary/School. David is here working on the computer, all day. I go to Casa Grande where I make copies of the letter we are sending to the Austins then I go to the Post Office and send the letter via Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested and I send it to their address of 3300 E. Blair Rd. Eloy AZ. They are not there but hopefully it will be forwarded to them and even it it is not we now have legal proof that we have notified them that they have not paid their share of the "Well Agreement" and we have shut off their water and they cannot turn it back on until they have paid the arrears and that amounts to about $400.00. I go to the clerk's office where I go through all the financial records for the first 6 months of 2004 in an effort to be ready for the upcoming audit on that time period. In the evening we [Marilee, David, Melissa, Myself] read several chapters of Helaman. It was a wonderful peaceful time and I loved it. The Children asked several leading questionss and Marilee did a wonderful job of explaining things to them. I sure do love Marilee!!!!

31 August 2004 ................................................... Tuesday WOW, hard to believe that August is gone and 2004 is mostly gone!!! My how time flies, when you are having fun, and I AM having fun. Marilee goes to work, in Tucson. Later in the day she will go to work, in Mesa. Melissa rides to seminary/school with Amanda Johnson. Good news nowadays on the Political Front. John Kerry is going down and George Bush is going up. John Kerry blames President Bush for the Swift Boat Vets telling on him and what a liar he has been about his "Heroic" Service in VietNam, but President has nothing to do with it. These the People that John Kerry Served with and they want us all to know that John Kerry is NO Hero and was in fact a disgrace to the USA. We read the rest of the book of Helaman this evening and I love every minute of it.
