01 April 2004 ............................. Thursday - April Fools Sean Hannity gave everyone a shock today, for His April Fools Joke!!! He reported that he was now supporting John Kerry and would not be voting for George Bush!!! He kept that up for about an hour and those that did not catch on were getting kind of upset...... 08 April 2004 ....................... Thursday Been too busy to write in here, so far this month..................

09 April 2004 ........................... Friday Marilee went to work at Banner Desert. I took Melissa to Dr. Genta at 11am. As we turned on to Southern, headed for Genta's Office, we had to pull off the road to let an ambulance go by. When we got to Genta's the ambulance was there!! One of his patients was having chest pains so he had to call 911. As a result we had to wait a little while to see the Doctor. Dr. Genta said that Melissa's ears are just fine, the problem is her tonsils. He prescribed medication for that and said, MAYBE, the tonsils will have to come out. Marilee was going to be there, at Genta's Office, BUT, she had a hurry up PICC on a 9 year old and she could not be there. As Melissa and I were driving to Casa Grande, there was a truck fire, on the east bound I10 at SR587 and we got caught in the STOPPED traffic at the Pinal County line, and it took us Three(3) hours to get from the county line to SR587. I called Marilee, who was getting off from work at Banner Desert and told her to go home through Coolidge - stay away from I10!!!!! We finally all arrived at Paradise and then left for Yuma, to visit Levi and Bridge, at about 6pm, arrive at their place at about 9pm. We had a wonderful visit with Levi and Bridgette and got to see Levi's new (old) home, for our first time. I like it. They had brought in some Pizzas so we ate and visited and took some Photos, using Levi's camera since I had left my camera in Paradise. Entered on 12 April 2004

10 April 2004 ................................. Saturday Levi took us to Sants Drug store, Lunch Counter, where he bought us Breakfast. It was an old time Drug Store, still existing from out of the past. The food was good and we really had a good time. Wendell: Bacon Eggs Pancakes Marilee: Eggs and Beans Levi: Hamburger Bridgette: Breakfast Burro Melissa: Hamburger Plus, Levi bought each of us a Milk Shake. We drove to the Colorado River, just to look things over, but did not go in, at this time. Back to Levi's for visiting and resting. We then went Swimming in the Colorado River. Drove the California Sand Dunes and learned where to unload our Quad when we take it there for some fun, someday. Spent the night at Levi's, again. Entered on 12 April 2004

13 April 2004 .................................... Tuesday Marilee drove the Malibu to work at Banner Desert and I drove the Silverado to take David, Melissa and Megan to Seminary/School. I then went to Bank One and made a small deposit at the Ugly Teller. Then to NAPA where I picked up the "Air Shocks", for the Impala, that I ordered yesterday. I then went home and installed the "Air Shocks" on the Impala. There were some problems.........The package included two(2) sets of bolts for the bottom of the Shocks BUT - NO bolts for the top of the shocks. I did not have any 5/16 bolts so I used the 1/4 inch bolts that I did have...............the RR spring had popped out of place and it took awhile to get back into place...................the tail pipe was bumping the LR shock so I had to bend it out of the way and wire it into it's new position. The the new "Air Shocks" worked just fine and now the Impala does not always "DRAG BOTTOM and/or BOUNCE UP and DOWN". Then I got a call from David asking me to pick him up, from the High School, at 12:30pm which I did. While in town I mailed our 2003 Income Taxes..........and got receipt proving that I did that, before April 15th!!....Actually what I mailed in was an Extension since I am not yet ready to actually file the taxes for 2003. 16 April 2004 ...................................... Friday Marilee does not go to work today.............. I take David, Melissa, Megan to Seminary/School. Then I get 25 bags of Concrete from Home Depot. At home I piled up some Pallets, by the bench where the other 25 bags of Concrete are, and then stack this 25 bags of Concrete on the pallets. About 10amMST, Marilee went to Casa Grande to get David from school and to get another 35 bags of Concrete. Entered on 16 April 2004

17 April 2004 ................................... Saturday Today we poured the floor for the Center Cube!! Marilee went to work today. The Malibu would not start so she drove the Impala. After I put 5 gallons of Gasoline in the Malibu, it started just fine. I then drove the Malibu to Casa Grande where I got some Chemical to pre-treat the floor, for termites, before we poured it. I also got some Clay Pidgeons, target, and I had a good time shooting them, lated in the day, although the strong winds made me miss a few times. I usually don't miss. After awhile We [Levi, Bridgette, David, Melissa, Wendell] went to work and poured the Floor for the Center Cube. It was one of the best pours we have had, so far. All went well except for when I fell into the Cement !Face First!. That was a freak accident but indeed I managed to slip and fall [Face First] into a wheelborrow of fresh cement!! Everybody worked hard and long and we now have the Center Cube, ready for framing. The wind was so strong today and it lasted for so long!! In the evening, after Marilee was home, we had a really nice visit, including a great supper at "Flying J". Entered on 18 April 2004

18 April 2004 ................................... Sunday No wind today..........Thank the Lord. That wind yesterday was so strong and it lasted for so long!! Marilee was the teacher in the Gospel Doctrine Class today. It may have been the best and most Spiritual Class I have ever been to. We were covering Mosiah 1 through 3 and King Benjiman's Address. After Church today, David drives the Malibu and takes Marilee, Rachel, Melissa, Wendell to Gilbert and the home of Kevin/Ginny Gifford, for Taco Sunday. It was a really good visit and really good food.

19 April 2004 ........................................ Monday David drives the Malibu and takes Melissa and Megan to Seminary/School. Marilee and I burn the ditch along the North Side of Hanna Road.

20 April 2004 ......................................... Tuesday I took David, Melissa, Megan to Seminary/School. Then to NAPA for where I purchased Filters for both the Engine and the Transmission in the Impala. I get Engine Oil and Transmission Fluid at Wal*Mart. Then, when I get back to Paradise, I change the Filters and Oil and Fluid, in the Impala, then I Grease the Zerks and verify that the Axle Fluid level is OK The Engine Oil Pan drain plug, stripped out so I had to go to NAPA, Eloy, and get an over sized one. I priced irrigation canvas at Miller's Hardware, $80.00, too much, I did not purchase. I stopped at the Irrigation Office of CAIDD and ordered water for Thursday. I ordered 2 Cubic Foot per Second for Three hours. Also I learned that we still have $65.00 on deposit with them. In the evening David drives the Silverado to CAC for his Class in SQL.

21 April 2004 ........................................ Wednesday Marilee went to work this morning and I took David, Melissa, Megan to Seminary/School. I put a dam in the ditch, in preparation for Irrigation tomorrow. Marilee goes with David and Melissa to "ASK" Rachel to PROM. They have lot of fun doing it, at Rachel's place, in Maricopa. 22 April 2004 .................................. Thursday David drove the Malibu taking Melissa and Megan to Seminary/School. Marilee and I irrigated for the first time in 2004. It went well. CAIDD [Central Arizona Irrigation & Drainage District] turned the water to us at N11A at 06:30amMST. It began to run onto our Pasture at 09:00amMST. Was a very good Irrigation with just a few runaways due to gopher holes. Marilee and I went to Coolidge where I made our April Well Payment at the Stockmens Bank and Marilee made a deposit at Sunstate Bank. Then we got groceries at Wal*Mart. This Evening Marilee has gone to Relief Society at the Casa Grande Stake Center.

23 April 2004 ............................................... Friday Marilee goes to work at Banner Desert and I take David/Melissa/Megan to Seminary/School. At about 02:00pmMST, Rachel Beatty shows up here and begins to decorate this place for you "YES" answer to Davi's asking her to the Prom. At 3pm I leave and go to Casa Grande High School where I get David and bring him home to this wonderful surprise. See: 21 April 2004 .............................. Wednesday

24 April 2004 ........................................................ Saturday Marilee went to work at Banner Desert. David left at about 7am, in the Impala, for the PROM!!! I put risers on the Motor Home Sewer Connection and the Inverted Siphon, so we won't run over them with the car!!!

25 April 2004 ................................................ Monday Marilee and I started digging the BBQ Pit today.

26 April 2004 .................................................... Tuesday I finished digging the BBQ Pit. It is a beauty!!

27 April 2004 ............................................ Wednesday H A P P Y     B I R T H D A Y Marilee April 27th 1955   to   2004 49 Years Marilee went to work, at Banner Desert Medical Center. I took David/Melissa/Megan to Seminary/School this morning. This evening I finally got to meet Barry Flake. Brandon and Breanne Palmer, daughter of Barry Flake, had Melissa and Myself over to their house so that we could meet her Father, Barry Flake. Barry has just returned from a 14 Month "Tour of Duty" in Iraq. [Barry and I met, once before, 20 year ago, at a Fost Flake Family Reunion, up in the mountains at Brown Creek. I was there at the invitation of Bonna Flake, Sister to Barry Flake.] We had a wonderful visit and a wonderful Supper.....Thanks Breanne. Melissa and I got back home at about the same time that Marilee got home from work. I fixed Marilee a "Birthday" Supper of Salad. It was good and she loved it. We had a very nice evening together, including Phone calls from our children, saying "Happy Birthday" to Mom. Mom loved that!!!

29 April 2004 ............................................ Friday H A P P Y     B I R T H D A Y Levi April 29th 1976   to   2004 28 Years I called and left a "Happy Birthday" message, for Levi, on his answering machine.

30 April 2004 .............................................. Friday I finished getting the BBQ pit ready for use.
