01 July 2003 ............... Tuesday At about 7am, before I got home, Jason Anderson came and trimmed Blase. She looks much better now.

03 July 2003 ............... Thursday - Birthday of Murr Kelly Eyring I started off the day at Calence at 12:01amMST. I called all the Phone Numbers that I have for My Brother, Murr Eyring, but I never did reach him. I wanted to wish him a happy birthday. He was born this day in 1949 making him now 54 Years Old. Tonight I did NOT go to work at Calence at 10:30pmMST because I have the night off for Independence Day.

04 July 2003 ................. Friday - Independence Day We started off the day by burning a lot of weeds. Then when the water finally got there we got busy irrigating. CAIDD was supposed to deliver to us .5AF of water BUT the delivered .82AF. We could not hold that much so we flooded the north end of a few properties!! In the afternoon we were visited by Kevin, Jinny, Millie, Clayton. We had a very nice visit. We had a meeting about Independence Day and what the United States of America means to us. We know and we Testified AGAIN that the United States of America was created and still exisits today so that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints can go forth to the whole world and give ALL People the chance to become as God is. In the evening we went the Fireworks Display in Eloy, Arizona. Again it was a spectacular Display!

05 July 2003 .................... Saturday - Taco Saturday, at Darren's.

07 July 2003 ................ Monday Sharon Lamb and I were married 45 Years ago today. That marriage did not work out. I put Halter and Rope on Orion and turned him loose. Then I pulled Blase's pen onto the Pasture. There is lots of nice grass for them to eat, so I will not have to buy so much hay. At 10:00pmMST I was at work at Calence, Inc.

08 July 2003 ....................... Tuesday I start of this day at 12:01amMST at Calence, Inc. When I get home, I eat a bite, change clothes, then Marilee and I go burn weeds for an hour. Boy was it HOT I leave home at 7pmMST, drive to the Stake Center, where I work with Larry Miller balancing the Arizona City Ward

09 July 2003 .............. Wednesday When I got home from Calence, I moved Blaze's pen to fresh grass, then I untied Orion so he could move around. After changing my clothes, David and I went out and burned a lot of weeds. Also we had to put out the manure fire left over from yesterday's weed burning. We received some unpleasant news from CFM, Melissa, today. This evening Marilee to David and Melissa to Mutual, got some groceries, brought them home, then went back to get David and Melissa. At about 9pmMST I leave for Tempe and Calence where I transition with Scott Thompson.

10 July 2003 ....................... Thursday -- Happy Birthday SARA Sara Nicole Gunderson was born this day in 1981, making her 22 years old today. I made www.wendelleyring.com say Happy Birthday Sara, to anyone who logs on today. I sent e-mails to Sara, via wendelleyring@yahoo.com and also via my pager. On the way home from work I called Sara, on My Cell Phone, and left a Happy Birthday Message. On the way to Work at Calence, in the evening, I called Sara, on My Cell Phone, She answered and I got to tell her Happy Birthday personally. We had a really nice talk. She invited us to her Graduation in May. I let Orion run loose all day today. I burned weeds as long as I could....till I ran out of gas, in the weed burner AND in my body. Melissa is not here today, she is in Tucson, with Levi. David got a lot of good work done on his Web Page today.

11 July 2003 ....................... Friday Water coming tomorrow so we got ready for it today. David and Andres and Rachel and Melissa rode on the tailgate of the pickup as we drove down Hanna to set the headgates properly for tomorrow irrigation. Marilee and David and Andres and Melissa and Wendell worked on installing a "Spillway" at the North end of the irrgated property. We used the left over 15" Elbow. Hope it works.

12 July 2003 ......................... Saturday Marilee went to work today. I wish I had a picture of Marilee leading Orion home.....She had left for work, and found Orion, down the road. She rolled down her window, drove up beside him, grabbed his rope, then slowly drove home, leading Orion back home. I just happened to come out of the house and got to see the show. It was something to see.[smile] I pulled the horse pens off from the irrigated property. I fixed Orion's pen so he cannot collapse it. David and Melissa and Andrew and Myself irrigated today. It went quite well and the new "Spillway" worked but kept trying to wash out.

13 July 2003 ................... Sunday Marilee went to work at Desert Sam this moring. David and Melissa and I drive to Arizona City Ward, leaving home at 01:35pmMST. Marilee is there when we get there. The Dewey's talk in Church today. He works for the Border Patrol. Marilee teaches the "Gospel Doctrine" Class and does an Outstanding job. During Priesthood Class time I work in the Clerk's office. Then after doing donations, I work on the Finances until At about 9pm I left the Casa Grande Stake Center and went to work at Calence, Inc., where I transitioned with Craig Stolins. I normally don't work on Sunday Night, but Scott Noga wanted to trade Sunday Night for Monday Night, so I did that.

14 July 2003 ...................... Monday I started off this day at Calence, Inc. I normally don't work on Monday Morning but Scott Noga wanted to trade Monday Morning for Tuesday Morning, so I did that. When I got home there was noone there because Marilee had taken David and Melissa to Flagstaff. David is spending the week there, attending EFY [Especially for Youth]. Today the pasture was dry enough that I was able to put the horses on it.

15 July 2003 ........................ Tuesday Marilee helped Melissa make som PJ's today. Melissa did it a lot better and faster than the last time. I finish off the day by driving to Calence, Inc. and transitioning with Scott Thompson. It was stormy, windy, dusty, all the way from Paradise to Calence. But NO rain.

16 July 2003 ......................... Wednesday I start off this day at Calence, Inc. Melissa was gone today, Water Skiing with the Ward. She had a good time. Marilee works on Ceremic tile in the Bathroom and the Kitchen. It really looks good. I take all five(5) of the Pups, that we have left, to the Pinal County Animal Control @ 11 Mile Corner. In the evening Marilee and Melissa and I go to the Drive Thru at Carl's Jr. and get Western Bacon Cheeseburgers. Then Marilee takes Melissa to Tucson to visit with Levi and I drive to Calence where I transition with Scott Thompson.

17 July 2003 .......................... Thursday

18 July 2003 ...................... Friday On the way home from Calence I stopped at Home Depot and bought a GE Washing Machine. I paid $259.00 plus taxes, for it. It claims to be 3.2cubic feet, super large capacity. Then later I hooked it up and it works just fine.

20 July 2003 .............. Sunday I took David to the Church at 1pm rather than 2pm because he had to be there for the Bishop's Youth Council. Marilee taught the Gospel Doctrine class and did a masterful job. President Havi Niu was there and the said so. After Church I help Les Grover do the donations then I attend the 24th of July Program put on by the First Presidency.

21 July 2003 ..................... Monday David to Casa Grande Hospital for Dr. Kazi to test him. David has suffered, a lot, this last year with some kind of internal problem that we are not sure what it is. Hopefully we will now know. Irrigation today. It went quite well and the Overflow device that we had installed, at the northend, worked great.! Marilee and I worked together on this irrigation and it was a pleasure to be there in Paradise. After the Irrigation I showered and went to bed. In the shower I used straight cold water and I did NOT want to stop. Marilee took David and Melissa to Angela's, to visit with Karl who is leaving for Spain, on his mission, tomorrow. In the evening I drove to Calence where I transitioned with Jared Harding. On the way to work the weather was threatening and I got a dozen drops of rain.

22 July 2003 ................... Tuesday I start of this day at Calence, Inc. When I transition with David Shirey and get off work, I go to "Tire Pro's" in Casa Grande, have them rotate My Pickup tires and repair a flat and replace a stripped Wheel Stud. While there I walk across the street and get my haircut at "Great Clips" and get some things at "Fry's". Then I stop at "Jiffy Lube" and have a Full Service, including new Air Filter, done on My pickup. At home I feed the horses and give the dogs some "Milk Bone". I receive a call from "Chicago First, Melissa", telling me she has tried about a dozen Lenders and has not found one that will lend on OUR Unique Home. I never did get to see Marilee today. By the time she gets home from work, I have already left for work. David and Melissa spent the day in Mesa, to see Karl Johnson off on his Mission to Spain, so I never see them either As I am feeding the horses, in the evening, I get a call from Don Holm saying that he has not heard from Andrew all day. I suggest he call Keith Johnson's residence but he has been trying that. I then put together a "Three Way Call", on my Cell Phone, with Myself, Angela Johnson, Don Holm. Angela says she will find Andrew and have him call home. In the evening I drive to Calence, Inc., stopping at Wendy's for 99 cent Bacon Cheese Burger. I transition with Craig Stolins.

23 July 2003 ....................... Wednesday I start off this day at Calence, Inc. Again today, I did not see Marilee........... In the eveing I drive to Calence, Inc. where I transition with Scott Thompson. I have to detour twice. First of all I10 was closed for construction so I detoured, on the Autobaun, to Price Road. Then Price Road was closed for construction so I had to detour over to Dobson Road. Still made it before 10:30pmMST, my official starting time, it's just that I usually get to Calence at 10pmMST. About Midnight, I get a call from David, asking when I will be home tomorrow, he needs to use the pickup to go register for school.

24 July 2003 .......................... Thursday ..............Pioneer Day It was on this day in 1847, that the Mormon Pioneers, My ancestors, arrived in the Salt Lake Valley in Utah. Can't say Salt Lake City, Utah, because they had not yet established Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a barren, open place, at that time, and many of the old Mountain Men thought the Mormon's could NOT make it there, but they did, just go to Salt Lake City, Utah, and see for yourself. I start off this day at Calence, Inc. After I transition to Jared Harding, I go to Casa Grande, Albertson's and fill up with the lowest priced gas around, $1.28 per gallon. Then I drive to "Paradise" and move the horses onto the pasture for some cheap feed. Sister Matthews comes to get Melissa for baby sitting today. David takes the Silverado to Casa Grande High School to get registered for his Senior Year!! On his way home he buy some baled hay for the horses. At about 5:30pm Marilee and David and I drive to Central Arizona College [CAC] for the Casa Grande Stake 24th of July Celebration. There is lots of food and swimming. Only David goes swimming. We bring Melissa home with us because she came there with the Matthews. Bryant Wynn is there playing his "Self Made" Fiddle and he had a guy playing along with a Banjo. I loved their music. I took photos of the Arizona City Ward Members. When we left, Marilee and Melissa drove to "Paradise" and I drove to Calence where I transitioned with Craig Stolins. David will go to "Paradise", later, with Andrew, who is spending the night.

25 july 2003 .................. Friday I start off this day at Calence, Inc. When I get home I move the horses to get some fresh grass. David take the Silverado to town so he can register for School. Then he buys a few bales of hay and brought them home. I slept for awhile then Melissa and I drove to Grandmother's. When Marilee gets off from work, she drive to Grandmother's. After a nice visit, we take off for Mesquite, Nevada. We leave Mesa at 4:30 and get to Tiffany's, in Mesquite, at 11:30.

26 July 2003 ................ Saturday ......Joshua and Kristilaura married today Today Joshua Micha Smith, our grandson, was married to Kristilaura Cottam. This morning we awake in the home of Keven and Tiffany Hansen, in Mesquite, Nevada. Talia is the only grandchild there, for awhile, so it is a special time for her and I to get aquainted. We ate lunch at Los Lupe's. Attending were: Bubba, Wendy, Joshua, Tim, Sue, Darren, Julie, Hank, Michelle, Tiffany, Keven, Marilee, Melissa, Myself. It was very good food and great visiting. Later We drove to St. George, Utah, for the wedding of Joshua Micha Smith and Kristilaura Cottam. Sad that it was not a Temple wedding, to be sure, but it was a nice wedding. Also Marilee and Melissa went to "Old Navy" in St. George and bought some much needed clothes. We took Lauren and Austin with us, back to Mesquite, because I owe them an ice cream, for missing their birthday's. We really enjoy a Dairy Queen, Ice Cream, in Mesuite.

27 July 2003 ..................... Sunday This morning we awake in the home of Keven and Tiffany Hansen, in Mesquite, Nevada. We attend Church, in Keven/Tiffany's Ward, at 8am. Then we visit for awhile at Tim's, then back to Tiffany's, then over to Wendy's for "Skones", family Movies, lots of visiting.

28 July 2003 ..................... Monday This morning we awake in the home of Keven and Tiffany Hansen, in Mesquite, Nevada. We had had a wonderful visit and now we are leaving for home/Paradise in Eloy, Arizona. Hank, Michelle, Emily, Jessica, Lindsay, Luke, also left for home this morning. They are going first to Flagstaff for the funeral of Michelle's Aunt. When we leave Tiffany's, we drive to Tim's where, after a finaly hug and "I Love You" from and to Tim, I get into Tim's Honda and drive it to Tempe. So on the way home, Marilee and Melissa are in the Silverado and I follow in the Honda. We get gas and breakfast "Jack in the Box" in Las Vegas. Then we spend the next hour in a traffic jam, then we drive to Kingman where we get a "Western Bacon Cheeseburger". This may be the last time we drive over Boulder Dam because they are in the process of building a bridge across the canyon to traffic will not cross the dam itself. "Thanks to those awful terrorists and the sloppy job done by Presidents Carter and Clinton". In Tempe we stop at Pat's on Shannon to visit with her and leave Tim's Honda there. Pat is going to sell it for him. We then drive "together" in the Siverado, to Grandmother's. Marilee and Melissa get out to visit and rest here, while I drive to Paradise. Marilee and Melissa later drive from Grandmother's to Sky Harbor where they pick up Sara who just flew in from Salt Lake City, Utah. When I get to Paradise, I verify that the Horses, Dogs, Cats are OK, then I take a shower and go to bed. When I awake for work, at about 8pm, I get a brief visit with Marilee, Sara, David, Andrew, Melissa, then I finish off this day by driving to Tempe, AZ, Calence, Inc., where I transition with Jared Harding.

29 July 2003 ..................... Tuesday I start off this day at Calence, Inc. I call CAIDD and order water for tomorrow morning at 07:00amMST I transition with David Shirey, at 08:30amMST, then I drive to Casa Grande, Albertsons, where I file up the Silverado with Gasoline and buy a few groceries and pay both the July and the August Well Agreement Payments, at the Compass Bank there. When I get home Sara and Melissa help me move Blase onto the pasture. I simply turn Orion loose and then he can graze the pasture also. David is too busy to help me, but not too busy to take my Siverado for the rest of the day!!!!!! When Marilee gets home we do a bit of work to get ready for irragation tomorrow and the kids move Blase so she can get more grass. Marilee and Ann and Sara and Melissa go get a bunch of tacos at "Jack in the Box". They are really good. When I drive to Calence, this evening, I drive in rain, all the way. Then I transition with Jared Harding.

30 July 2003 ............................... Wednesday I start off this day at Calence, Inc. After transition to Jared Harding, I drive to Paradise, expecting to the that the Irrigation is just running out on the Pasture. NOT so. We learn that CAIDD did NOT turn on the water at 7am but rather at 9am. Plus Marilee finds the water is running at only 1.5cfs. Marliee resets the flow to 2.5cfs. I have a nice visit with Sara and Ann, who are both there, this moring. Sara and I talk about the fact that so many people, even though coming to America and learning English, they cannot and/or donot talk English with out an accent that shows what contry they came from. Sara explains that for some, it is IMPOSSIBLE for them to NOT have an accent. We do get a good irragation today. The spillway works as it was designed to do. There were a few washouts that I fixed right away. After I went to bed, there was final washout, at the North End of the Property, allowing the water to run onto Johnson's property. After irrigation done, I got to sleep until time to leave for Calence, Inc. At Calence I transitions with Scott Thompson.

31 July 2003 ................................. Thursday I start off this day at 12:01amMST at Calence, Inc. At 08:30amMST I transition to Jared Harding. When I get home I check on David and Andrew, Horses, Dogs, Cats, then I sleep for the rest of the day, I am soooooo tired I am nearly disfuntional In the evening I have a nice visit with David and Andrew. David is doing his Eagle Project tomorrow morning I drive to Calence where I transition with Craig Stolins. On the way to work I get a call from Marilee, who is now at home. I won't see her much for the next week because she is working every day.
