Journal for October of 2002

2002 Oct 01 ........................... Tuesday Very WINDY, all day today. I start off this day at Calence. at 8:30amMST I transition with Kevin Meeks then drive to Paradise. I awake at noon and check mail to see if GM check has arrived I awake at 1pm and check mail to see if GM check has arrived I awake at 3pm and check mail to see if GM check has arrived I then drive to Bank One, in CG, and move $100 from C1MC to B1 Checking. I gas up the pickup. Good news, Albertsons has dropped their Gas Price from 1.24.9 to 1.23.9. I get some food from Albertsons. Brent comes to Paradise, picks up David and takes him to get his Amplifier repaired. When I awake at 8pm, Marilee has just arrived home. We get to visit for a few minutes, then I drive to Calence where I transition with Michael Flores.
2002 Oct 02 ........................................ Wednesday I start off this day at Calence. After transition with Kevin Meeks, I drove to Bingham Equipment in CG and looked at what they have for rent that I can create the pond we want for irrigating from. They have a 2.5 yard front end loader that I could rent for a weekend for $406.00. It would do the job, but I don't have the money for it yet. I went to Compass Bank and paid the well payment for October 2002 and also did the paper work to get online with the bank account. I put some money, from the October GM check, into the B1 checking. Then home to bed. In the evening I put up some of the outside "Motion Detector" light. I never did see Marilee today, but I did talk to her on the phone and tell her about the loader for $400.0. I drove to Calence where I transitioned with Michael Flores.
2002 Oct 06 .................................. Sunday 172nd Semi Annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Taco Sunday
Marilee started off the day by going to Tucson and getting David and Melissa. They got back in time for Conference, minus the first talk which was by President Hinkley, about the Nauvoo Temple. I napped between sessions, then Marilee and I prepared the Tacos for "Taco Sunday". Attending were Marilee, Hank, Michelle, Emily, Jessica, Lindsay, Luke, Levi, Bridgette, Sara, David, Melissa and Myself. The Taco's and the visiting were GREAT. This was the first time we have "entertained" having in place our Kitchen Island and Sink and Countertops and A/C Duct.
2002 Oct 07 ............................. Monday Bad News this morning. The Kids called, from school, to say that they saw "Lady" smashed dead on LaPalma. Marilee and I took the truck out there and sure enough, there the Peason's dog, "Lady", dead on the road. We put her into the back of the truck and took to to Nadine. Nadine was broken hearted. She really loved Lady and will miss her a lot. Nadine had me put Lady out back, on some pallets, so that David can bury her, when he come home from work. We are worried that the same thing is going to happen to Oreo and/or Onyx, because they also run out in the road. Today I went to My Parents house to help Twila care for My Mom and Dad. Mom had to be taken to the Hospital yesterday because of Low Blood Pressure and Low Pulse Rate. Again today she had to be taken to Hospital for same reason. Mom is very uncomfortable, oncontenant and miserable. I was able to talk to her for awhile and divert her attention some. I think that helped. I slept for 2 or 3 hours, in Twila's bed, as she went to hospital with mom. Then I went to see Mom and Twila and Maralise, in the Mesa Lutheran Hospital Emergency Room. Then I bought Inverter and some food at Wal*Mart and a Salad at McDonalds. At Calence I transitioned with Michael Flores. I was so early that I worked on www.wendelleyring.com for about an hour before going on duty.
2002 Oct 08 ......................... Tuesday I started this day off at Calence. At 8am I transition with Kevin Meeks and then I am so tired I drive straight home and forget to do my newly required Drug Screen. When I awake at about 4pm I remember, but it is too late then. I call Calence, Jennifer Dawes and verify that it will be OK if I do it tomorrow.
I did remember to call Keven and tell them "Happy Anniversary". They have been married 10 years, today.
I learned that Tara and Talia have broken their legs. I guess just hairline fractures.
I get a short visit with David and Melissa, then I drive to CG Hospital for a short visit with Marilee. I then drive to Mesa Lutheran Hospital where I visit with Maralise and Twila and My Mom. Mom is looking and feeling better, but she is not talking.
2002 Oct 09 ......................... Wednesday I begin this day at Calence. After transition to Kevin Meeks I go for My Drug Screen, over on 40th Street. Then I drive home where I get the Water Heater working. In the afternoon I go get gas and "horse pellets" and shirts from laundry. In the evening Dave and Miss go to Mutual and I go to Calence without ever seeing Marilee. I transition with Michael Flores.
2002 Oct 10 .......................... Thursday Traci's Birthday
2002 Oct 14 ........................... Monday I spent much of today, at Cropper Chevrolet, dickering on a new pickup. I ate lunch with Marilee, at the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. In the evening I drove to Calence and transitioned with Michael Flores.
2002 Oct 27 ................................ Sunday Marilee worked today at the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. This is her last Sunday to work. Dave and Miss and I read scriptures before church then go to church at 11am. I teach Lesson 20 in the High Priest's Quorum today. After church we go to the Hospital to visit with Marilee. Then Dave and I, with Melissa riding along, completed our hometeaching for October, today. We finally found the two new families we have, Felicia Gamez, 9128 W. Pineveta and Sonya Amerelia, N. Juarez. and visited them personally for the first time. At home David fixed Quesadillas for us and boy were they good.
2002 Oct 29 ........................... Tuesday This evening we took a test drive in the Z71 to see how the a/c works. I had just put new filters in the "Cabin Air" duct and wow did it make a difference. David and Melissa were really impressed because the usually sit in the back seat and have not been getting a lot of air, until now. We went it "IGA" in Eloy where I bought a Pumpkin, for a Jack-o-Lantern, and Marilee bought some food items.
2002 Oct 30 ............................ Wednesday Melissa fixed her hair in the wildest hairdo possible then she and David and Amanda and Kevin went to Mutual. Marilee met them there. After awhile I also went to Mutual, to see my family and to see the Ward Mutual Halloween Dance. I took a lot of pictures then I put them on www.wendelleyring.com
2002 Oct 31 ...................................... Thursday Halloween
I start off this day at Calence. I worked 30 minutes overtime because Kevin Meeks got caught in a traffic jam. When I got home, I had some trouble with Onyx because she crawled out of her pen, through the hole we were feeding her through. So I fixed that hole then put her back on the pen. She stayed after that. For Halloween, Melissa "Spiked" her hair again, we showed it to Nadine and David, then drove to Keith and LaRee's for trick/treating and food and visiting. From them I drove to work at Calence where I transitioned with Stacey Kagan. I sure am tired.....
