Journal for February of 2002

2002 Jul 04 Thursday I start off this day at Calence. At 8am I transition with Stacey Kagan. Today Marilee took David and Andrew and Melissa and went to Sierra Vista for the 4th of July. I hope they had a good time. I went to the GREAT Fireworks Show in Eloy. I took some pictures and put them on the WEB Page, www.wendelleyring.com. I then drove the Tempe, Calence, where I transition with David Shiree.
2002 Jul 07 Sunday At 5pm David and Melissa and I go to Hank's for "Taco Sunday". It is wonderful and I am getting reaquainted with my grandkids...... I like that. Marilee had to work so she could not go.
2002 Jul 08 Monday I work as much and as hard as I can, on Paradise. Then at about 4pm I lay down for a nap before I drive to Calence and transition with Mike Flores.
2002 Jul 09 Tuesday I start off this day at Calence. After I transition to Kevin Meeks, I drive to Laree #1's place where I pick up David and Melissa. We then go pick up the Freezer that Hank gave to us and drive it to Paradise. I mostly sleep today, but about 6pm we are hit by one heck of a storm. First the dirt and dust become so thick that seeing anything more than a foot away, cannot be done. And of course LOT's of wind and it did finish off with a lot of Rain, first I have seen this year, I think. I knocked over the freezer that we just got today and it ripped off our new screen door. At 7:15pmMST a Lightning strike knocks out the power. As I am driving to Calence, I keep calls from David who is trying to get the Generator going. He finally succeeds, so he and Melissa then have power. At Calence I transition with Michael Flores.
2002 Jul 11 Thursday I start off this day at Calence then transition to Stacey Kagan at 8am. At home I sleep quite awhile, then I put in the vent pipe, for the kitchen. In the evening, I drive to Calence and transition with Kevin Meeks.

2002 Jul 15 Monday I was so disgusted with Bridgette today.......She laid right in the middle of the house, sleeping, while Marilee and I worked, all morning, probably till about 1pm, then finally got up and started watching TV, without every lifting a hand, not only to help us but to even clean up her own mess, which was all over the place. How can a human being be so lazy? I build another work bench today. Les Grover comes by to visit, being his first visit to "Paradise". I finish off this day by driving to Calence where I transition with Michael Flores.
2002 Jul 16 Mon I start off this day at Calence. At 6amMST I called Olympus Tech Support, Amine, 888-553-4448, and explained the problem I have with the camera, cannot take useable pictures outside in the Sunlight. I told me some things to do and if they do not work, it is defective and will have to go in for repair. My Ticket number on this is 94021. At 8amMST I transition with Kevin Meeks. I then drive to Casa Grande, Tire Pro's, and have the tires rotated and balanced, on the Z71. While that is done I walk across the street to Wal*Mart and exchange my faulty Olympus D-380 Digital Camera for one that works correctly and now I can take pictures outside in the Sunlight, again. When I get home, about noon, I go to bed. Marilee is already in bed. In the evening I drive to Casa Grande where I get gas and food at Albertson's. Then I drive to Calence where I transition with Michael Flores.
2002 Jul 17 Wednesday I start off this day at Calence. When I was feeding the horses today, Orion bit me so I slugged him and I think I broke the little finger on my right hand. it hurts badly..... I left for work, early, and stopped at Office MAX, in CG, to exchange the digital Olympus D-380 because again it will not take pictures in bright sunlight. On the way to work I stopped at Wal*Mart, on elliot road, and got my money back for the camera battery charger, because I believe it is what culprit in knocking out two cameras in a row. Then I went to calence and transitioned with Michael Flores.

start off day at calence with my right little finger really hurting badly.....
2002 Jul 20 Saturday Marilee and I worked long and hard at building "Paradise". We would work till we drop then drop till we work. In the eveing we drove to Eloy to get fixins for a salad and then enjoyed one of the best salads ever......then went to bed.
2002 Jul 24 Wednesday Pioneer Day. 2002 Jul 29 Monday I put a 50a "range" outlet, with it's own 50a breaker, on power pole for easy hookup of Generator. I plug holes in east wall of house [ac, plumbing]. I waited all day for County Inspector, Dan Davis, who finally came at 3:30pm. He gave a list of 9 things that must be fixed before We can pass this inspection: 1) Make Up elec.boxes 2) Secure wires 12" from box 3) Boxes must be grounded 4) Wires must terminate in boxes 5) Holes must be plated 6) Holes must be plated 7) Firestop wire hole 8) Outside lights 9) Secure Wires I finally laid down, after that, but I did not get much sleep today. On the way to Calence, I get gas and food at Albertson's in CG. Best gas price arount at 1.24.9. I transition with Michael Flores.
2002 Jul 31 Wednesday I started off this day at Calence. David and Melissa were spending the night with Grandmother, but David go so sick that Marilee had Grandmother bring him to her at the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center, where she, Marilee, was at work. when I got off from work, I went to grandmother's and got Melissa and took her home with me. also we took Millie home. Marilee was still at the hospital and ended up admitting david for at least one night. extreme constapation. On my way to work in the evening, I stop by the hospital to visit with dave.
July was a long hot month.
