September of 2001 - The Infamous "911"

I will NEVER forget this morning...................... I was at work at Calence, Inc. I was on training and Joe was actually working the NOC. I was spending my time in the LAB learning more about Cicso Switches. From time to time I would come into the NOC to visit Joe and breakup the monotiny. On one of the visits to the NOC, we noticed, on the TV we always have running in the NOC, that a building was on fire. After awhile we because aware it was a tall building and it was in New York City. Then there were reports that the fire was started by the impact of an airplane.

Then there was another building on fire and it was the "World Trade Center" and it had been struck by two(2) airplanes. Then we learned these were BIG Airliners, not just airplanes.

As the time went on there was video of the Airliners striking the WTC.

Of course the whole story gradually became know, including the Airliner into the ground in PA and the Airliner into the Petagon.

As this was unfolding, I quickly became aware that this was an Enemy Attack that was even worse that either "Pearl Harbor" or "The Alamo".
