Journal for April of 2000

04 April 2000 - Tuesday Day 1 My first day at Calence. Also the first day for Aaron Clark. I was required to be here at 9a so I was here at 8a. Kevin took me in the backroom and showed me, for the first time, where I will eventually be working what I will be doing. Julie Leigh spearheaded out initial training.

05 April 2000 - Wednesday Day 2 I was required to be here at 8a so I was here at 7a. Aaron and I were the first to arrive and we were locked outside in the hall until Sandeep came and let us in, just before 8am. I was given no organized assignment so I just studied Cisco and create 2 tapes from the "Introduction to Cisco Router Configuration" Book. Charles Giffiths gave me a Dell Notebook and showed me how to log into the net work and use lotus notes for email, both connecting to the WWW and to the pagers that we all carry. I read Chapters 1&2 in crc I became aware, late in the day, that apparently I am supposed to be working on a project??? Was never mentioned to me, but I immediately get to work on the project.

06 April 2000 - Thursday Day 3 I rode 81 to Broadway and 45 to priest. I arrived at Calence @ 7am. Aaron was here shortly thereafter I read chapters 3&4 in crc I read chapter1 in ith Brad scanned my hand and put me into the computer so I can get into the operations room.
